\"ANIMALKINGDOMLOGO\"<\/a>The next day we relaxed at the Typhoon Lagoon water park, but I didn\u2019t take any picture there. I didn\u2019t even bring my camera because, you know, it\u2019s a water park.\u00a0 But the day after we went to Animal Kingdom, one of the newer Disney parks.\u00a0 I\u2019m not as big of a fan of Animal Kingdom, though.\u00a0 Don\u2019t get me wrong, I like animals and all, but there\u2019s not as much to do at this park and it seems like there are less animals at this park and more people dressed up as animals.<\/p>\n

My family really loves a roller coaster there called Expedition Everest, but I didn\u2019t ride it because I don\u2019t do too well with big roller coasters. Another area was dinosaur themed, with bright colors and a Midway fair-like feel.\u00a0 We rode a neat dinosaur thrill ride there and I took a picture of a towering happy dino.<\/p>\n

One neat thing I didn\u2019t do, but would\u2019ve done if I were a little kid was the Wilderness Explorer thing they had there. Wilderness Explorers was the fictional Boy Scout group in the movie Up, and that was one of my favorite PIXAR movies.\u00a0 At the park, you could get a book and get stamps at various stations to become a Wilderness Explorer.\u00a0 I thought that was a cute idea.<\/p>\n

There were a bunch of nature trails and safari rides. We took a train to Rafiki\u2019s Planet Watch, where there were lots of interactive educational events going on.\u00a0 We even got to watch a medical checkup for one of the birds at the park.\u00a0 My brother Caleb wants to be a veterinarian when he grows up, so I\u2019m glad that we got to see that.<\/p>\n

Speaking of safari rides, I did catch a few good pictures of some animals that I\u2019ll share with you here. First up is a gorilla.\u00a0 Luckily he didn\u2019t throw barrels at us.<\/p>\n

And next were some meerkats. One is even doing that classic stand-up meerkat pose!<\/p>\n

And here\u2019s a giraffe eating.<\/p>\n

And a zebra.<\/p>\n

We ate a late lunch at the Yak and Yeti restaurant, which served some pretty good Asian style food. We also saw a show called The Festival of the Lion King, which was like a circus with Lion King music and characters.\u00a0 There was a Finding Nemo show I wanted to see, but we didn\u2019t get a chance to go to it.\u00a0 And that\u2019s really all we did at Animal Kingdom.\u00a0 Next time we\u2019ll take a look at what I did at Disney\u2019s Hollywood Studios!\u00a0 –Cary<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
