\"AMIIBO_LOGO\"<\/a>I FINALLY GOT IT! The one amiibo that was missing from my collection is finally in my possession.\u00a0 It\u2019s a large version of the Yarn Yoshi amiibo.\u00a0 Click here for pics and stuff.<\/p>\n

The reason why Mega Yarn Yoshi was so hard to find was that it was a Toys R Us exclusive. And by the time I found that out, it was too late.\u00a0 I never saw it in stores, not even an empty tag hook.\u00a0 I started to wonder if it was just a rumor.\u00a0 But I finally found one in the wild at PAX South this past January, but the vendor wanted 70 bucks for it.\u00a0 Luckily with a little patience, I was able to find one online recently for less than half that price.\u00a0 So I took the plunge and bought it.\u00a0 You only live once, right?<\/p>\n

Anyway, here is a picture of the front of the box. I always open my amiibo figures out of the package because I want to actually USE them. And while I opened this one, too, I\u2019ll keep the box to store it in because it is a pretty nice box and doesn\u2019t take up that much more room.<\/p>\n

When you take Mega Yarn Yoshi out of the package, you have to take a sticker off his left foot. That\u2019s how you can tell where to scan it as an amiibo.\u00a0 I guess they also do that to keep people from scanning it in the box.\u00a0 Mega Yarn Yoshi actually works in Super Mario Maker, giving you a slightly bigger and chubbier Yoshi sprite.\u00a0 It just acts like a regular Yarn Yoshi in Yoshi\u2019s Woolly World, unfortunately.\u00a0 Would be cool if it gave you a Mega one!\u00a0 Anyway, here is a pic of the bottom so you can see where the amiibo scan is on his foot.<\/p>\n
