font-family: Times New Roman;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/rodeo_box-3\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-15302\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/RODEO_BOX-150x84.jpg\" alt=\"RODEO_BOX\" width=\"150\" height=\"84\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/RODEO_BOX-150x84.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/RODEO_BOX.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>The makers of popular mobile games like Crossy Road and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2016\/02\/03\/pac-man-256-ios-amazon-google-play\/\"><strong>Pac-Man 256<\/strong><\/a> have roped in a new free-to-play downloadable title for iOS and Google Play (reviewed on iPad here).\u00a0 In Rodeo Stampede, you must ride wild animals without getting thrown off, and jump and lasso the next critter in the stampede.\u00a0 Keep on doing this for as long as you can, and you\u2019ll even befriend these animals and invite them to live on your floating zeppelin zoo!\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">There are two main parts to this game, the stampede phase and the simulation phase.\u00a0 In the stampede phase, you ride animals and steer them around obstacles and other critters by holding down on the touch screen and move your finger around to steer.\u00a0 Release the touch screen and your rider will jump off the animal.\u00a0 You must time it correctly so that you\u2019ll lasso and land on another animal.\u00a0 When you see the next animal in your circle and it lights up yellow, that\u2019s your cue to hold down on the touch screen again so you can rope and ride your new animal friend.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">Each critter has their own characteristics as you ride.\u00a0 Zebras and ostriches can run faster, bigger animals like elephants can crash through other animals and rocks, and you can even rope and ride flying birds!\u00a0 After you\u2019ve ridden on an animal for a while, they\u2019ll get angry.\u00a0 Each animal will do different things when angry.\u00a0 Some will buck around, making it harder to control them, and others will just throw you off entirely.\u00a0 Luckily you get a warning before an animal gets angered.\u00a0 It\u2019s Game Over if you jump or get thrown off and can\u2019t land on another animal, or if you crash into a rock or another critter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">When you hop on an animal that you haven\u2019t ridden before, a heart meter will appear and if you can ride on that animal until the meter is full, you\u2019ll befriend that animal and it\u2019ll live in your zoo.\u00a0 Here\u2019s where the simulation phase comes in.\u00a0 When you\u2019re done riding and roping animals in the stampede phase, you\u2019ll see the animals you\u2019ve ridden living in a zoo that\u2019s also a flying zeppelin!\u00a0 The more animals you have in your zoo, the more money you\u2019ll get when visitors come.\u00a0 You can use money to move to new areas so you can catch new animals.\u00a0 You can also use money to upgrade your zoo habitats.\u00a0 These upgrades will help you earn more coins as well as aid you in the stampede phase.\u00a0 For instance, some upgrades will help you encounter certain animals more frequently, cause them to be less angry, etc. You\u2019ll also have missions in both the zoo and the stampede phases that you must pass in order to progress.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">I really like how imaginative this game is, and the blocky graphics make it look like a classic arcade title.\u00a0 It even reminds me of one of my favorite Activision Atari 2600 games: Stampede (even though the gameplay in both titles are totally different).\u00a0 But unfortunately, it\u2019s the free-to-play aspects that bog this title down.\u00a0 It takes too long to earn enough coins to progress, and you must also wait too long to get new missions and zoo visitors.\u00a0 Sometimes you can view an ad to double your coins, which I always recommend doing since it takes so long to earn them.\u00a0 I know that\u2019s the nature of free-to-play games, but in one of their other titles, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2016\/02\/03\/pac-man-256-ios-amazon-google-play\/\"><strong>Pac-Man 256<\/strong><\/a>, which was also free, I never felt like I had to wait very long to play with some of the perks.\u00a0 It\u2019s a shame that Rodeo Stampede isn\u2019t like that, but it\u2019s just too repetitive to warrant playing for too long anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/rodeo_screen-3\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15303\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/RODEO_SCREEN.jpg\" alt=\"RODEO_SCREEN\" width=\"500\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/RODEO_SCREEN.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/RODEO_SCREEN-94x150.jpg 94w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/RODEO_SCREEN-188x300.jpg 188w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;
