{"id":15348,"date":"2016-09-07T00:01:33","date_gmt":"2016-09-07T00:01:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/?p=15348"},"modified":"2016-08-11T00:01:01","modified_gmt":"2016-08-11T00:01:01","slug":"flying-slime-ios","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2016\/09\/07\/flying-slime-ios\/","title":{"rendered":"Flying Slime (iOS)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/slime_box\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-15341\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/SLIME_BOX-150x98.jpg\" alt=\"SLIME_BOX\" width=\"150\" height=\"98\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/SLIME_BOX-150x98.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/SLIME_BOX.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>Play as a slime creature as you fling sticky tentacles around and swing about a cavernous forest landscape.\u00a0 Make it to the end and grab a shiny thing to complete the level.\u00a0 It\u2019s available to download for about three bucks on the App store (reviewed on iPad here).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">The game uses touch screen controls.\u00a0 On the right side of the screen are two buttons.\u00a0 Press them to make your slime creature fling a tentacle to the left or right of him.\u00a0 This strand will mostly be flung up, though, and can attach to nearly any surface.\u00a0 You can even attach it to objects off screen, so never be afraid to launch those tentacles around.\u00a0 When you latch onto something, you\u2019ll swing around it like a vine, and you can let go by releasing your finger from the touch screen.\u00a0 On the left side of the screen are buttons with up and down arrows.\u00a0 When you are attached to something, use these to retract or lower your tentacle so you can go up and down.\u00a0 And that\u2019s all there is to it.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">In each level, your goal is to reach a shiny object thing.\u00a0 You get a higher ranking if you can make it in as quickly as possible.\u00a0 You lose if you hit any dangerous objects, like thorny branches or chomping plants.\u00a0 You can view a video of whoever has the best time on a level, and if you complete enough stages, you can unlock other modes.\u00a0 And that\u2019s it.\u00a0 I can\u2019t really think of any reason why to play this game, as it\u2019s very similar to other mobile games of this ilk, unless you just really enjoy swinging and grappling games like Bionic Commando.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/slime_screen\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15342\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/SLIME_SCREEN.jpg\" alt=\"SLIME_SCREEN\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/SLIME_SCREEN.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/SLIME_SCREEN-150x84.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/SLIME_SCREEN-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">Kid Factor:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">The only violence is if you hit a dangerous object, your slime will explode into itty bitty pieces.\u00a0 But that\u2019s it.\u00a0 Reading skill isn\u2019t needed to play, but younger gamers may get frustrated at the high difficulty that happens pretty early on.\u00a0 But at least there are no in-game purchases or ads.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Play as a slime creature as you fling sticky tentacles around and swing about a cavernous forest landscape.\u00a0 Make it to the end and grab a shiny thing to complete the level.\u00a0 It\u2019s available to download for about three bucks on the App store (reviewed on iPad here).
