\"PACSUIT\"<\/a>So in this last PAX article, I\u2019m just going to show some pictures and things I did that I just couldn\u2019t fit into any other category.\u00a0 Lots of crazy stuff and people dressed in costumes of video game characters!\u00a0 Let\u2019s check it out!<\/span><\/p>\n

PAX can be a very dangerous place.\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 Because there are monsters there!\u00a0 Really!\u00a0 I took pictures of them!\u00a0 Here\u2019s a monster who looks like he\u2019s having trouble with the bubblegum in his mouth!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"MONSTER1\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And here\u2019s a big ol\u2019 ogre guy.\u00a0 I wouldn\u2019t want to meet him in a dark alley.\u00a0 Or a well-lit alley for that matter.<\/span><\/p>\n

There was even a T-Rex at one booth!\u00a0 It was huge!<\/span><\/p>\n

I think you could wait in line to climb on top of it like you were riding it, hence the bit in its mouth.<\/span><\/p>\n

One booth had this giant skull with glasses that had screens showing lots of crazy stuff.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"SKULL\"<\/a><\/p>\n

At the convention center, they have places where you can grab a quick bite to eat, but I never went to those places because they were always really crowded.\u00a0 But I liked this menu they had there which had a Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam motif.<\/span><\/p>\n

And here\u2019s a picture of a pretty cool truck.\u00a0 What I want to know is, how do they get a truck on the 4<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> floor of a convention center?<\/span><\/p>\n

Costumed Crazies<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A lot of times at video game and comic book conventions (and even theme parks now), people like to dress up as their favorite characters.\u00a0 I think it would be fun to do that myself, but I\u2019m probably too old to do that now!\u00a0 But I can still take pictures of others who do it, so here were some I snapped at PAX!<\/span><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t watch Doctor Who, but I do know this giant robotic salt shaker thing is from that show.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know what it\u2019s called, and I\u2019m not even sure it\u2019s a costume or not.\u00a0 I just saw it sitting by the curb as I was going to pick up my press pass at the start of the show!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"DOCTORWHO\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s Bender from Futurama wearing one of his outfits from one of the episodes of the show.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"BENDER\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Like I said in a previous article, Pok\u00e9mon was big at PAX.\u00a0 I saw lots of people wearing Pikachu hoodies, but this was the only full-bodied Pok\u00e9mon costume I saw.\u00a0 Although Flareon looks a little weird standing on hind legs and holding a Pokeball!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"FLAREON\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This tough-looking lady was at a stage where you could get your picture taken with her, and the booth was promoting a game called King of the Kill.\u00a0 When I first saw it, I thought it said King of the Hill.\u00a0 I wouldn\u2019t mind a King of the Hill game!\u00a0 \u201cDang it, Bobby!\u00a0 That game ain\u2019t right!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\"KINGKILL\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This was a really creative costume.\u00a0 This guy dressed as one of those Wavy Tube Men like you see at car lots and such.\u00a0 The picture is a little blurry because he kept waving around, like Wavy Tube Men tend to do.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"TUBEMAN\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And I saved the best for last.\u00a0 Those of you who know me well, know how much I like Pac-Man.\u00a0 So you can imagine my reaction when I saw these guys dressed in suits, slacks, and ties with Pac-Man maze patterns on them!\u00a0 I asked where they got them and they said, \u201cThe depths of the Internet.\u201d\u00a0 Yeah real helpful there.\u00a0 But man, I would totally wear a Pac-Man suit to job interviews and church services (Well, OK, not really).\u00a0 Still pretty cool, though!<\/span><\/p>\n

And that\u2019s all for my PAX West 2016 articles!\u00a0 I hope you liked them.\u00a0 If you have any questions or comments, please let me know.\u00a0 I\u2019m really happy I got to go again this year.\u00a0 For a while I didn\u2019t think I\u2019d be able to.\u00a0 I was glad to finally be able to experience VR after being worried about it so much, and to play lots of new, fun games, too.\u00a0 But the best parts are being able to talk with all the publishers, developers, and PR professionals.\u00a0 And I bring family with me every year (this year it was my dad again), and it was great to be able to spend time with him, too.\u00a0 You should always try to enjoy being with your family while you can!\u00a0 Later!\u00a0 –Cary<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
