\"WOODY_BOX\"<\/a>Summer may be over, but you can still enjoy the season with a wakeboarding dog!\u00a0 Yup, they made a game about a wakeboarding dog.\u00a0 Now I\u2019ve seen everything.\u00a0 Help Woody the dog avoid obstacles and collect coins in this free-to-play action game downloadable on iOS and Android (reviewed on iPhone here).<\/span><\/p>\n

You play as Woody, who is holding on to a wire attached to a jet ski that another dog is driving.\u00a0 Tap on the screen to jump over obstacles, and tap again while in the air to double jump.\u00a0 Keep tapping and Woody will spin, and if you spin on the way down from a jump, he\u2019ll dive into the water for a short bit.\u00a0 Jump and dive to avoid obstacles and collect coins.\u00a0 The obstacles and coins are randomly generated.\u00a0 If you run into an obstacle, you\u2019ll slow down a bit.\u00a0 You have 15 seconds to make it to the next checkpoint, so you\u2019ll want to avoid as many bumps as possible.\u00a0 If you don\u2019t make it to the checkpoint in time, it’s Game Over.<\/span><\/p>\n

Use the coins you collect to buy items and upgrades in the shop.\u00a0 Upgrades will make your power-ups last longer.\u00a0 Some of the power-ups include a magnet that\u2019ll draw coins toward you.\u00a0 Unfortunately, the prices for these items and upgrades are pretty steep, but that\u2019s the nature of free-to-play games.\u00a0 Only other problem is the announcer is a bit annoying, but at least you can turn the sound off.\u00a0 It\u2019s not a bad game, but it just feels like a bonus stage that should be part of a regular game, and didn\u2019t really hold my interest for long.\u00a0 What\u2019s weird is that when I entered the download code to review this game, it just went straight to my iPhone, not my iPad.\u00a0 I looked for this game on the iPad store later, and couldn\u2019t find it.\u00a0 So I guess I can only play it on iPhone.\u00a0 I prefer playing games on iPad because the bigger screen is easier for me to see.\u00a0 I\u2019ve never had that happen to me before.\u00a0 Oh well.<\/span><\/p>\n

If Woody bumps into something, he just flashes red and slows down.\u00a0 You hear a bump sound and the announcer may say, \u201cThat had to hurt,\u201d but that\u2019s about as violent as it gets.\u00a0 Just cartoony stuff.\u00a0 Reading skill is helpful for some of the text in the menus, but not needed just to play.\u00a0 Parental supervision is recommended for the in-game purchases and ads.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
