G.P. the GamerPuppet here!\u00a0 How long has it been?\u00a0 Like\u2026TWO YEARS?!?\u00a0 Anyway, for Christmas, Cary got the Odin Sphere Left\u2026luft\u2026Leifthrasir (my gosh why is that so hard to spell, much less pronounce) Storybook Edition.\u00a0 It\u2019s the special edition of the re-release of Odin Sphere on the PS4, and it comes with lots of neat goodies.\u00a0 So Cary had me unbox it to show you all what\u2019s in it!<\/p>\n

Cary got Odin Sphere on the PS2 a long time ago, and he really liked it.\u00a0 It\u2019s a 2-D action hack and slash game with very artful graphics and an item management system that\u2019s actually really fun!\u00a0 The game has a lot of likable characters and it was made by VanillaWare, who also made Dragon\u2019s Crown and Muramasa.\u00a0 Cary hasn\u2019t played the Odin Sphere re-release yet, but he hopes to soon.\u00a0 Anyway, here is a bigger picture of the front of the box.<\/p>\n

So let\u2019s say you didn\u2019t like that box art.\u00a0 Well you\u2019re in luck because that was just the sleeve.\u00a0 The inside box art looks like this.\u00a0 It\u2019s a box in a box!<\/p>\n

And the back has a map of the land!<\/p>\n

Of course the most important thing is the game.\u00a0 It comes in a nice metal case with some really neat artwork on the sides.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also a print of Alice and Socrates, but I wasn\u2019t really impressed with it.\u00a0 It\u2019s just some artwork on card stock.\u00a0 Cary said he\u2019d rather have a soundtrack or something.\u00a0 What\u2019s neat is that when you start the game, you actually control Alice as she gets a book to read, and the book you read is the adventure in the game!<\/p>\n

The special edition does come with a pretty nice artbook, though.\u00a0 Here\u2019s a sample of one of the pages.<\/p>\n

And last is a t-shirt.\u00a0 It\u2019s a large size, but I think it\u2019s still too big for me!\u00a0 Cary wishes it were XL, as he prefers how that size fits him better. Also, if you\u2019ve never played Odin Sphere before, you\u2019d have no idea what this shirt means.\u00a0 Heck, it\u2019s been such a long time since Cary played the original Odin Sphere, that he didn\u2019t remember what this shirt had on it at first (it\u2019s a recipe to make a potion in the game, supposedly).<\/p>\n
