\"\"<\/a>So the next in line to review in the batch of dollar store LEGO Dimensions sets is the Scooby Doo Team Pack.\u00a0 This is another franchise that I\u2019m not a big fan of, but I still have respect for it.\u00a0 Scooby Doo has been popular since before I was born, and it continued its popularity when I was a kid, and even today!\u00a0 I watched it a lot as a kid, simply because kids will watch anything.\u00a0 I will say there is one cartoon Scooby Doo movie that I really do like, and that\u2019s Scooby Doo on Zombie Island.\u00a0 Seriously, it\u2019s awesome.\u00a0 I\u2019m also glad I got to meet the original voice of Scooby Doo, before he passed away (Don Messick).\u00a0 He also did the voices for Scrappy Doo, Boo Boo, Muttley, Papa Smurf, and many more!\u00a0 Anyway, so even though I\u2019m not as much of a fan, I was mildly curious about the LEGO Dimensions set, so I\u2019m glad I got it!\u00a0 It\u2019s available for nearly all the current game consoles, but reviewed on Wii U here.<\/p>\n

LEGO Dimensions is essentially like Skylanders, except you build and play with LEGOs instead.\u00a0 I even wrote a big article about it a while back that you can read<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 Anyway, the Scooby Doo Team Pack comes with two characters, a vehicle, and an item.\u00a0 You get Shaggy, Scooby, the Mystery Machine, and a tall sandwich Scooby Snack.\u00a0 The game gives you instructions on how to build the van once Shaggy is on the pedestal.\u00a0 Same thing with Scooby and the sandwich.\u00a0 Here\u2019s a closer shot of the box they come in.<\/p>\n

I love how Shaggy attacks.\u00a0 His punches and kicks have him cowardly flailing about, and it\u2019s hilarious.\u00a0 Other than that, he doesn\u2019t do much else.\u00a0 He holds a flashlight, but I don\u2019t know if he can see in dark places with it.\u00a0 The Mystery Machine is just a regular vehicle, but you can upgrade it to do other things.\u00a0 I will say that I think the Mystery Machine is awesome and if I had a van, I\u2019d want to paint it like that.<\/p>\n

Scooby Doo was really easy to build, as he\u2019s just two pieces.\u00a0 Unfortunately, I think the pedestal used to scan him into the game was defective, as it wouldn\u2019t work when I put him on the base.\u00a0 I imagine that he probably has the \u2018dig\u2019 ability, though.\u00a0 Even worse is that Scooby is what prompts you to build the sandwich, so I wasn\u2019t able to experience that in the game either.\u00a0 I was able to build it since it was just a bunch of LEGOs stacked up, but I just won\u2019t be able to use it in the game.\u00a0 The back of the box shows a picture of the sandwich making Shaggy strong, and you can upgrade it to let Shaggy breath fire or turn into a ghost.\u00a0 So I\u2019ll just have to take the box\u2019s word for it.\u00a0 The instructions say that if you have any defective LEGOs to call their customer service, but I feel bad about doing that since this was a gift from a dollar store.\u00a0 So if anyone has had to deal with LEGOs customer service, let me know in the comments section how good or bad they are.\u00a0 Anyway, here are all the pieces built and out of the box.<\/p>\n

Shaggy and Scooby can unlock the Scooby Doo hub world. \u00a0Like any of the other hubs, you can use studs to buy structures as well as take on missions to earn red and gold bricks.\u00a0 You\u2019ll explore an abandoned theme park, spooky graveyard, and a haunted house!\u00a0 I love how they made the graphics look all cel shaded and cartoony in this world.\u00a0 And that\u2019s all there is in this pack!<\/p>\n

Kid Factor:<\/strong><\/p>\n

LEGO Dimensions is rated E-10 with ESRB descriptors of Cartoon Violence and Crude Humor. Kids love Scooby Doo, so they\u2019ll probably enjoy this, too.\u00a0 Plus I think the cartoon is good for kids since it encourages them to be brave and conquer their fears.\u00a0 While I would recommend most LEGO games to all ages, I think LEGO Dimensions is best for older kids.\u00a0 One, the things you build are pretty complicated sometimes, so they would need to be experienced LEGO handlers.\u00a0 And like other LEGO toys, the sets are pretty expensive so kids would need to know how to keep up with and take care of their toys, as the game is useless without them.\u00a0 And plus using the pedestal is not very intuitive.\u00a0 Also don\u2019t forget the whole choking hazard thing with small LEGOs!<\/p>\n
