\"\"<\/a>Super Mario Odyssey is Nintendo\u2019s new hit Mario game on the Switch.\u00a0 So of course they released some amiibo figures to go with it, and they\u2019re all dressed up for the occasion.\u00a0 In the game, Bowser\u2019s trying to marry Princess Peach, so the amiibo figures have a wedding theme.\u00a0 Let\u2019s crash the ceremony and check out these new figures!<\/p>\n

Here they are in the box.\u00a0 You have Mario, Peach, and Bowser.<\/p>\n

And here they are out of the box.\u00a0 As with other amiibo figures, the detail on these is amazing.\u00a0 I wonder how many people will try and use these as actual wedding cake toppers.\u00a0 You\u2019d think I would, but I\u2019d rather use Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man, myself.<\/p>\n

Super Mario Odyssey actually has pretty good amiibo support.\u00a0 You can scan these three amiibo at any time to get a boost.\u00a0 The Mario one gives you temporary invincibility, the Peach one gives you an extra 3-hit heart, and the Bowser one is supposed to detect Power Moons, but all I got out of him when I scanned it was a roar.<\/p>\n

You can scan other amiibo, too!\u00a0 In each world you can find \u201cUncle amiibo\u201d who looks like a Roomba vacuum cleaner.\u00a0 Scan an amiibo while talking with him (any amiibo), and within five minutes, he\u2019ll give you a hint to where a Power Moon is.\u00a0 Some amiibo will even give you special outfits when you do this.\u00a0 The three wedding amiibo give you the clothes the figures are wearing (Mario in a wedding dress looks very disturbing), but you can also get outfits from other amiibo like Luigi, Dr. Mario, Wario, Waluigi, 8-bit Mario, and Diddy Kong.\u00a0 I hear that all these outfits are available in the game without amiibo, though.<\/p>\n

So what do I think of Mario Odyssey?\u00a0 I think it\u2019s pretty good.\u00a0 Maybe not my Game of the Year or anything, but it\u2019s way on up there.\u00a0 I think it might\u2019ve gotten a little overhyped, but worlds like the Wooded Kingdom and New Donk City are so fun to tromp around in.\u00a0 I will say that as far as simply beating the game goes, this is one of the easiest 3-D Mario games I\u2019ve played since Super Mario 3-D Land.\u00a0 But the initial post-game rewards are well worth it.\u00a0 I\u2019d even say the game doesn\u2019t really start until after you beat it.\u00a0 But let me know what you think of the game and these amiibo in the comments section!\u00a0 –Cary<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
