\"\"<\/a>Recently I got The King of Fighters XIV for PS4.\u00a0 A lot of times when I get a fighting game, I like to talk about the characters in it.\u00a0 But there are SO many characters in this one that there\u2019s NO WAY I\u2019m going to do that!\u00a0 So we\u2019ll just look at my favorites, OK?\u00a0 And none of these are in any particular order.<\/p>\n

Ralf and Clark<\/strong><\/p>\n

You\u2019ll notice a lot of these characters on my list are from older games.\u00a0 This is a good example.\u00a0 Ralf and Clark are from the old, yet popular at the time, Ikari Warriors vertical scrolling military themed shooter.\u00a0 This game was HUGE back in the day, at least it seemed that way to me.\u00a0 I saw it in a lot of arcades, it got a few sequels and tons of home ports.\u00a0 I can\u2019t really tell who is Ralf and who is Clark, though.<\/p>\n

Leona Heidern<\/strong><\/p>\n

She\u2019s also on the Ikari team.\u00a0 I just like her because she wears army clothes and has blue hair.\u00a0 You\u2019ll notice sometimes I have silly reasons for liking the characters I do.\u00a0 What\u2019s cool is that in some of SNK\u2019s Metal Slug games, you can play as Ralf and Clark, and I think in the PSP Metal Slug exclusive game, Leona\u2019s a secret character, too!<\/p>\n

Vice and Mature<\/strong><\/p>\n

So one of the bad guys in the KOF games has two lady fighter helpers who wear office clothes.\u00a0 So they\u2019re kind of like bad guy sidekicks and I like bad guy sidekicks.\u00a0 Like Bebop and Rocksteady.\u00a0 Although I don\u2019t think Vice and Mature act stupid like Bebop and Rocksteady (it would be cool if they did), but I still like them anyway.<\/p>\n

Shermie<\/strong><\/p>\n

She\u2019s not in the newest King of Fighters game.\u00a0 I think in one of the earlier games, they killed her and her team off.\u00a0 I hate it when they do that.\u00a0 But really the only reason why she\u2019s on the list is because I like her name and she looks cool.\u00a0 Sometimes that\u2019s all you need.<\/p>\n

Blue Mary<\/strong><\/p>\n

Another character not in this KOF game.\u00a0 She\u2019s also in the Fatal Fury games and is Terry Bogard\u2019s boyfriend.\u00a0 I just like her because she has a pet dog.<\/p>\n

Vanessa<\/strong><\/p>\n

And speaking of characters that I like because they look cool, Vanessa is just a red-haired boxer fighter.\u00a0 In this game, the pants she wears kind of look like PJ pants.<\/p>\n

Alice<\/strong><\/p>\n

She just looks like a regular fit woman, but she wears a Fatal Fury cap for some reason, like Terry Bogard.\u00a0 Did you know I got a Fatal Fury cap at SNK\u2019s booth at E3 one year?\u00a0 I always liked visiting them at E3.\u00a0 Anyway, Alice also looks like she\u2019s wearing the clothes she slept in, as her shirt is very loose fitting and goes down below her waist, which is good because it doesn\u2019t look like she\u2019s wearing any pants.\u00a0 What is it with these fighters wearing their PJs?\u00a0 Anyway, the reason why she\u2019s on my list is because according to the art book I got, she was originally in a SNK slot machine, which I thought was interesting.<\/p>\n

Meitenkun<\/strong><\/p>\n

And speaking of characters who look like they\u2019re ready for bed, here\u2019s one with messy hair, wearing PJs, and even holding a pillow.\u00a0 He fights with the pillow, giving new meaning to the word pillow fight, and he\u2019s always nodding off.\u00a0 He reminds me of Little Nemo for some reason.\u00a0 What is it with characters wearing PJs and looking sleepy in this game?\u00a0 Were the character designers just in dire need of a nap?\u00a0 Should they have called this game SNK Slumber Party?<\/p>\n

Luong<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nothing significant about her except she just looks tough and strong, which are important things to be in fighting games.<\/p>\n

Athena<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are actually two different Athenas in SNK games.\u00a0 The original one was in a game called, well, Athena, but the one that\u2019s in most KOF games is a different Athena.\u00a0 Although they have hinted that the original Athena is an ancestor or something.\u00a0 Anyway, KOF Athena originally came from an old SNK game called Psycho Soldier.\u00a0 It played like Son Son and had an awful level one theme song (go look it up, if you dare, it has vocals).\u00a0 In fact, the team Athena is on is called the Psycho Soldier team, and one of the other fighters on that team is player two from the original game!<\/p>\n

Chang Koehan<\/strong><\/p>\n

He\u2019s just a big fat guy who carries around a giant ball and chain and fights with them.\u00a0 He reminds me of Earthquake from the Samurai Shodown games.<\/p>\n

Love Heart<\/strong><\/p>\n

She\u2019s a pirate lady and also from a slot machine game.<\/p>\n

Angel<\/strong><\/p>\n

No other reason why she\u2019s on this list other than that she looks cool.\u00a0 That\u2019s all.<\/p>\n

King of Dinosaurs<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hmmm\u2026let\u2019s see, what reason would I have to put him on this list other than the fact that HE\u2019S A FREAKING DINOSAUR!<\/p>\n

Zarina<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a fighter she reminds me of Christie from the Tekken games, but the reason why she\u2019s on this list is because she has a TOUCAN on her shoulder.\u00a0 I imagine when they\u2019re not fighting, she and her toucan go on adventures trying to find Froot Loops or something.\u00a0 \u201cFollow my nose, it always knows!\u201d\u00a0 The toucan\u2019s name is Coco, so it even sounds like a cereal character. Unfortunately the toucan doesn\u2019t help her fight, which isn\u2019t fair because Nakoruru is also in this game, and she has a pet bird that helps her fight.\u00a0 Oh yeah, Nakoruru\u2019s in this game, too, even though she\u2019s from the Samurai Showdown games, which are set in the past.\u00a0 She\u2019s on the \u201cAnother World\u201d team.\u00a0 In fact, if you have Zarina and Nakoruru fight each other, they\u2019ll first have a conversation about their pet birds and what they eat and stuff.\u00a0 Kind of funny.\u00a0 If they were going to put in a Samurai Shodown character in this KOF game, I\u2019d rather they put in Galford.\u00a0 He\u2019s my favorite character from Samurai Shodown because he has a dog named Poppy that helps him fight!\u00a0 In the PS2 version of Samurai Shodown 6, you can even play as just the pet characters like Poppy and Nakoruru\u2019s bird!\u00a0 How cool is that?\u00a0 I wish you could just play as the toucan in this game!<\/p>\n

Sylvie Paula Paula<\/strong><\/p>\n

This new character is a little girl whose dress looks like it was made out of balloon animals.\u00a0 She looks like she belongs in a parade, not a fighting game.\u00a0 SNK, you\u2019re so crazy!<\/p>\n
