{"id":18182,"date":"2018-08-17T00:01:37","date_gmt":"2018-08-17T00:01:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/?p=18182"},"modified":"2018-07-31T14:16:39","modified_gmt":"2018-07-31T14:16:39","slug":"hungry-shark-world-ps4-xbox-one-mobile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2018\/08\/17\/hungry-shark-world-ps4-xbox-one-mobile\/","title":{"rendered":"Hungry Shark World (PS4, Xbox One, Mobile)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/shark_box\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-18169\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/SHARK_BOX-150x59.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"59\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/SHARK_BOX-150x59.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/SHARK_BOX-300x118.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/SHARK_BOX.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>Play as a ravenous shark during a feeding frenzy in Hungry Shark World.\u00a0 Swim in 2-D space as you gobble up all manner of fish and even humans!\u00a0 So it\u2019s like a more violent version of Ecco the Dolphin.\u00a0 It\u2019s available to download on PS4 and Xbox One, and I think it started out as a mobile title, but it\u2019s reviewed on PS4 here.<\/p>\n<p>Swim around in all directions with the d-pad, and you can press the face buttons to dash, attack, and check your map once you find it.\u00a0 You must keep your health up by eating as many fish as you can.\u00a0 If you come across another predator or even a human, you can press and hold the attack button to chomp on them for a little bit before swallowing them whole.\u00a0 The game is over when you run out of health, which can happen if you don\u2019t continuously eat (you\u2019ll starve), or if you hit too many obstacles like water mines, toxic waste, other predators, or poisonous creatures like jellyfish or zebra turkey fish.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of your run, the game will tally up your score and you might level up.\u00a0 By eating certain gold fish, you can unlock and buy items to equip to your shark, like clothes.\u00a0 These accessories also will give you status and score boosts, too.\u00a0 You\u2019ll start out with only one kind of shark, but if you complete all the missions as that animal, you can unlock another shark and the cycle repeats.\u00a0 Unlock enough sharks and you can get big enough to crash through certain blockades underwater and unlock new areas to swim and eat in.<\/p>\n<p>The game does have a few problems, though.\u00a0 It\u2019s hard to tell what things are harmful to you until it\u2019s too late.\u00a0 As this game was originally a mobile title, the progress is slow and it\u2019ll take a long time to unlock items and sharks.\u00a0 It\u2019s especially frustrating when the missions require you to wear a certain item, and you don\u2019t know how or when you\u2019ll unlock it.\u00a0 And some items you can only get if you sign up for Ubisoft\u2019s game account.\u00a0 What might\u2019ve \u201cworked\u201d on a mobile device doesn\u2019t always necessarily translate as well to consoles.\u00a0 It\u2019s a shame the developers didn\u2019t think about this when porting it to them.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/shark_screen\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-18170\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/SHARK_SCREEN.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/SHARK_SCREEN.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/SHARK_SCREEN-150x84.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/SHARK_SCREEN-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kid Factor:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hungry Shark World is rated T for Teen with ESRB descriptors of Violence and Blood &amp;
