\"\"<\/a>Adventure Time is one of Cartoon Network\u2019s most popular and long-running shows.\u00a0 Although I think they had their final episode recently.\u00a0 I have to say that in the 20 plus years I\u2019ve been reviewing games, out of all the licensed ones out there, I think I\u2019ve reviewed more Adventure Time titles than any other.\u00a0 In fact, I don\u2019t really watch the show, I just get all my knowledge of it from the games, really.\u00a0 Speaking of things that have been around for a while, there is a game called Bloons that has frequented many web browsers and mobile devices.\u00a0 It\u2019s game where monkeys pop balloons.\u00a0 Now Bloons and Adventure Time are teaming up on mobile devices with Bloons Adventure Time TD, a free-to-play tower defense game (that\u2019s what the TD stands for) where balloons have invaded the land of Ooo, and it\u2019s up to Finn, Jake, and the rest of the gang to pop them all! (reviewed on iPad here)<\/p>\n

Each level is a single screen, with a path that the balloons travel on. If too many balloons make it to the end of the path, you lose points, and if you lose all of your points, you must start the level over again.\u00a0 You must place Adventure Time characters like Finn, Jake, Bubblegum Princess, Ice King, and many more strategically on the path so they can pop the balloons as they go past.\u00a0 Each character has his or her own range and skills.\u00a0 For instance, Finn uses a sword and can attack quickly, and Bubblegum Princess has a bubblegum gun that can slow down the balloons as they go by.\u00a0 Balloon come in different colors and patterns, and can have higher defense, go at different speeds, and even can be camouflaged.<\/p>\n

The balloons come in waves, and as you pop them, you\u2019ll earn coins.\u00a0 Use the coins to upgrade your characters\u2019 range, attack power, speed, and more.\u00a0 Whenever you have enough coins to upgrade a character (using the touch screen), you should do it right away.\u00a0 That\u2019s the main trick to beating the levels.\u00a0 After you complete all the waves, you\u2019ll earn treasure and other goodies.\u00a0 Use these spoils to equip permanent upgrades to characters in the menu screens.<\/p>\n

As far as presentation value is concerned, this game is just oozing with quality.\u00a0 Every character is fully voiced by the cast of the show, and even guest characters like the Bloons Monkey has spoken dialogue.\u00a0 I had a few problems with the game, though.\u00a0 The map screen is a little confusing, using the menus between levels is a bit fiddly, and the game just didn\u2019t have a whole lot of interactivity.\u00a0 You mostly just watched them pop balloons until you needed to tap to upgrade them.\u00a0 But then, I\u2019m not the biggest tower defense fan either.\u00a0 But if you love Adventure Time and tower defense games, then it certainly wouldn\u2019t hurt to check out this freebie.<\/p>\n

Kid Factor:<\/strong><\/p>\n

You just pop balloons, and that\u2019s as violent as it gets.\u00a0 If you\u2019re OK with your kids watching the cartoon, they\u2019ll be OK with this game.\u00a0 Reading skill is helpful for some of the menus, and parental supervision is recommended for the in-game purchases and ads.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
