\"\"<\/a>Astro Gaming is one of the leading makers of gaming headphones, and now they\u2019ve made one featuring The Legend of Zelda.\u00a0 Let\u2019s take a look at it, as well as another headset celebrating the 10th<\/sup> anniversary of Astro Gaming\u2019s A40 model, too!<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a larger picture of the front of the box for the Zelda headset.\u00a0 Even though it features the Nintendo Switch logo prominently on the box, the headset will work with any console, PC, or other device that takes headphone jacks.\u00a0 It\u2019s just optimized for Nintendo Switch, as we\u2019ll see in a moment.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s one side of the headphones out of the box.\u00a0 It has the Zelda \u201cZ\u201d on it.<\/p>\n

The other side has the Zelda Sheikah eye symbol.<\/p>\n

Even the top has the Zelda logo on it!<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a picture of one of the cords.\u00a0 Now WHY in the world would I take a picture of the cords?\u00a0 Well, because one, the Zelda Z is on this one, too.\u00a0 But the other reason has to do with the microphone.\u00a0 You see, the Nintendo Switch does not support voice chat, which is one of the reasons why I don\u2019t gush about it like a lot of people do.\u00a0 You have to use a smartphone app to do voice chat on the Switch.\u00a0 But Astro gaming got around that.\u00a0 They included this splitter thing that you can plug the headphone jack into and then the other ones go into the Switch and your smartphone.\u00a0 So you really can use the microphone!\u00a0 The other included cord (not pictured) is the headphone jack.\u00a0 It\u2019s neat because it has a volume control directly on it, but the one thing I don\u2019t like about it is that it\u2019s too short.\u00a0 I can use it when my Switch is undocked, but not when it is docked.\u00a0 Luckily most other headphone jacks will work if you have a longer one. Just make sure it\u2019s pushed in all the way or it won\u2019t work.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The headphones work great on the Switch, and sound MUCH better than the cheapy earbuds I usually use.\u00a0 It works right out of the box on the Switch.\u00a0 So between that and the splitter, it really is optimized for that system.\u00a0 But it\u2019ll work with other devices, too.\u00a0 I tried it on my PS4 and it also works great, although I had to fiddle with some menu options first.\u00a0 So if you have a Zelda fan in your life who needs a gaming headset, this would be a great gift idea.<\/p>\n

Next up is some headphones celebrating the 10th<\/sup> anniversary of Astro Gaming and the A40 model.\u00a0 Here\u2019s the box.<\/p>\n
