\"\"<\/a>The King of Cake rules the space station kingdom and has a pig daughter named Princess Bow.\u00a0 One day he has a contest to decide who will marry her, but she wants none of that so she dons a disguise and competes in the contests herself.\u00a0 Along the way she\u2019ll discover a threat to her kingdom and must save the day in the process. So what are these contests?\u00a0 Well, you must run around mazes and eat these tennis ball-like things to win.\u00a0 But when you eat a lot of them, you get fatter and can\u2019t fit through narrow corridors.\u00a0 So what do you do?\u00a0 You press a button to barf up the balls so you can be thin enough to fit in the mazes again.\u00a0 So yeah, it\u2019s Pac-Man with gross bodily functions.\u00a0 Yay?\u00a0 Pig Eat Ball is available on all current consoles and PC, but reviewed on Switch here.<\/p>\n

In the main story mode, you start off in a hub world.\u00a0 Sometimes you must even solve puzzles in the hub world to get by.\u00a0 When you come upon a clam, you can enter it and compete in a few rounds of the contest.\u00a0 You\u2019ll run around mazes and try to eat the most tennis balls in a given amount of time, and you get a ribbon depending on how well you do.\u00a0 If you get too fat and can\u2019t fit where you need to go, you can press a button to barf up the balls and then snarf them up again after becoming thin enough to fit.\u00a0 If you re-eat a ball that has green barf on it, you\u2019ll even make a gross gagging sound!\u00a0 Avoid enemies and obstacles that can make you barf when you don\u2019t want to.<\/p>\n

At the end of a few of these rounds, you\u2019ll compete in an arena style game with three other CPU players.\u00a0 These can have a variety of rules, like breaking the most blocks, catching the most stars, etc.\u00a0 Win this and the clam will give you a pearl.\u00a0 Collect pearls to unlock new areas.\u00a0 You can also play these arena modes in multiplayer as well, where one to four local players can try any of the arenas you\u2019ve unlocked.<\/p>\n

The sprite-based 2-D graphics and Pac-Man style gameplay is what drew me in to review this game, but for some reason I didn\u2019t get into it as much as I thought I would. \u00a0Maybe because it was just so weird and chaotic.\u00a0 Or maybe I just couldn\u2019t get past all the gross barfing and gagging sounds.\u00a0 Blech!\u00a0 It\u2019s not a bad game, just very gross and strange, which is saying a lot, coming from me!<\/p>\n

Pig Eat Ball is rated E-10 with ESRB descriptors of Crude Humor, Mild Fantasy Violence, and Use of Alcohol and Tobacco.\u00a0 The game is all about barfing, so yeah, there\u2019s the crude humor.\u00a0 If you get hit, you\u2019ll cry and pieces of bacon will fly out, but that\u2019s about as violent as it gets.\u00a0 Reading skill is helpful for the text, and younger gamers may find it a bit difficult sometimes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
