\"\"<\/a>Just in time for the live action Sonic the Hedgehog movie, Arby\u2019s has toys in their kids\u2019 meals based on the popular game characters.\u00a0 Heck, I didn\u2019t even know Arby\u2019s had kids\u2019 meals!\u00a0 Anyway, I managed to get one, so let\u2019s take a look and see what they\u2019re like!<\/p>\n

Here’s a bigger picture of the sack the meal comes in.\u00a0 At least they have dedicated sacks for them.<\/p>\n

And here\u2019s a shot of the back of the sack.\u00a0 Can you get Sonic through the maze?\u00a0 You can collect rings, too, but the yellow doesn\u2019t show up very well so it\u2019s hard to see.<\/p>\n

The side of the sack shows all the toys you can get.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t know there were rare ones!<\/p>\n

The package that the toy comes in also has a piece of paper with a better picture of all the toys you can get in color.\u00a0 I really want the Tails one, he\u2019s my favorite Sonic character.<\/p>\n

But the one I got was Super Sonic.\u00a0 It\u2019s just a disc that you can fold out that shows the other half of their bodies, and you can stand them up.\u00a0 It’s just a couple of inches tall.\u00a0 And that\u2019s pretty much it.\u00a0 And it\u2019s identical to the last toys Arby\u2019s gave out.\u00a0 In early January I went to Arby\u2019s and tried to get a Sonic toy, but they just had leftovers from the last batch.\u00a0 It was the same folding disc thing, except with cat characters from a mobile game I\u2019ve never heard of.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s it, really.\u00a0 The press release I got said that the Sonic promo runs through the end of February, but I bet that if you went a little after that, they might still have Sonic toys as well, since Arby\u2019s really doesn\u2019t advertise their kids\u2019 meals.<\/p>\n

But my question is, why Arby\u2019s?\u00a0 There\u2019s a much more obvious fast food choice for this promo, and I bet I know what you\u2019re thinking.\u00a0 Sonic Drive Ins!\u00a0 I mean, the name\u2019s the same, plus Sonic restaurants serve chili dogs, which is Sonic the Hedgehog\u2019s favorite food.\u00a0 So why not, SEGA?\u00a0 –Cary<\/p>\n

UPDATE:<\/strong><\/p>\n

So two days before this article was scheduled to post, I went back to Arby\u2019s and they gave me one of each of the rest of the toys they had.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know if that would work if any of you went to Arby\u2019s, I just think I got lucky and got some employees who weren\u2019t such sticklers for the rules.\u00a0 But hey, at least I got Tails.<\/p>\n
