{"id":20628,"date":"2020-12-07T00:01:19","date_gmt":"2020-12-07T00:01:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/?p=20628"},"modified":"2020-10-30T12:39:12","modified_gmt":"2020-10-30T12:39:12","slug":"alpaca-ball-all-stars-switch-pc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2020\/12\/07\/alpaca-ball-all-stars-switch-pc\/","title":{"rendered":"Alpaca Ball All Stars (Switch, PC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/alpaca_box\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-20626 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/ALPACA_BOX-150x70.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"70\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/ALPACA_BOX-150x70.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/ALPACA_BOX.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>Play soccer with alpacas in this crazy sports multiplayer party game for Switch and PC (reviewed on Switch here).\u00a0 It\u2019s wacky and alpac-ey simple silly fun for all ages.<\/p>\n<p>Gameplay is like a simple version of soccer where you score points by getting the ball into the opponent\u2019s goal.\u00a0 You control your alpaca and can swing your neck left or right to hit the ball in that direction.\u00a0 You can also jump, but if you double tap the jump button, you\u2019ll powershot the ball straight forward if it\u2019s in front of you.\u00a0 And you can dash with the shoulder buttons.\u00a0 And that\u2019s pretty much it.<\/p>\n<p>There are two main modes of play.\u00a0 Career is like the story mode.\u00a0 You\u2019ll travel around a small cartoony map of South America as you play soccer matches to save your hometown.\u00a0 You\u2019ll play a match on each mark on the map, but the stadiums and rules change each place.\u00a0 You may have to play one-on-one or two on two team matches, with or without power-ups, or even kick around a different ball like a football!\u00a0 One of the only problems I had with this game is that the career mode can get pretty difficult, though.<\/p>\n<p>The other mode is just your standard multiplayer match.\u00a0 Up to 8 can play at once on teams, and you can change the rules before you play.\u00a0 Pick your stadium, play time, whether or not you have power-ups, and more.\u00a0 Power-ups appear randomly and include things like giving you a longer neck for reach, or making other players tiny.\u00a0 And that\u2019s all to the game.\u00a0 Aside from the difficulty in the career mode, the only other problem I had was the game could\u2019ve used more content.\u00a0 If you want a serious soccer game, this isn\u2019t for you.\u00a0 But if you want a fun and silly simple arcade sports game you can enjoy with friends, you may want to check this one out.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/alpaca_screen\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-20627\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/ALPACA_SCREEN.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/ALPACA_SCREEN.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/ALPACA_SCREEN-300x168.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/ALPACA_SCREEN-150x84.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kid Factor:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Alpaca Ball: All Stars is rated E for Everyone with an ESRB descriptor of Mild Fantasy Violence.\u00a0 You can tackle other players, and if you get hit, you\u2019ll just be stunned for a second with cartoony dizzy stars, but that\u2019s as violent as it gets.\u00a0 Reading skill is helpful for the text, and younger gamers may find it too difficult.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Play soccer with alpacas in this crazy sports multiplayer party game for Switch and PC (reviewed on Switch here).\u00a0 It\u2019s wacky and alpac-ey simple silly fun for all ages.
