\"\"<\/a>Hallmark always has a wide annual selection of new Christmas ornaments and series, and in the past few years they\u2019ve even done video game related ones!\u00a0 This year they had more than ever, and I got most of them, so I thought I\u2019d share them with you here.\u00a0 Most are from Nintendo games.<\/p>\n

Metal Pokeball<\/strong><\/p>\n

Most of the ornaments you can get online and in stores, but a couple of the ornaments were limited store exclusives.\u00a0 One of those was a metal Pokeball ornament.\u00a0 I managed to be able to get it, so I was glad about that.\u00a0 It\u2019s about the size of what you\u2019d think a real Pokeball would be, and even though it\u2019s real metal, it\u2019s not too heavy to hang on a Christmas tree.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Pikachu<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019m surprised they haven\u2019t done more Pok\u00e9mon ornaments in the past, since they are so popular and have plenty of material to work with.\u00a0 I\u2019m sure the Pikachu ornament would look better hanging on the tree, as it would look more in an action pose.\u00a0 Here it just looks like Pikachu is tired or got run over!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Joust Arcade Cabinet<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the only non-Nintendo related ornament I got.\u00a0 They also had ornaments of Fortnite and Minecraft, but I didn\u2019t get those because I\u2019m not really into those games.\u00a0 But I\u2019m glad they did Joust because that\u2019s one of my favorite arcade games.\u00a0 I even like Joust more than Balloon Fight (sorry Iwata).\u00a0 When you push a button, it lights up and makes sound effects from the game.\u00a0 Oh, and any of the ornaments here that light up or have sound, the batteries are included so that\u2019s nice.\u00a0 I hope they continue to have classic arcade cabinet ornaments in the future.<\/p>\n

Mario Kart: Yoshi<\/strong><\/p>\n

While I\u2019d rather have Toad in a kart, here\u2019s one with Yoshi.\u00a0 The pipe frame feels like real die cast metal, and the wheels roll, too, so that\u2019s nice.\u00a0 When you look at Yoshi from the side of this ornament, he does look a little chubby, though.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

NES<\/strong><\/p>\n

The lady working at Hallmark said this was one of their bestsellers, and I can see why.\u00a0 So if you want one, you\u2019d better buy it as soon as you can!\u00a0 Anyway, it\u2019s a replica of a NES console (like a mini NES Mini), and even has cords with the controllers on top.\u00a0 The holes for where things plug in are in the right spots, too, so it\u2019s very authentic. \u00a0You can even open and close the front lid and see a Super Mario Bros. cartridge inside!\u00a0 And when it has batteries, you can push the power button and it\u2019ll play sounds and music from Super Mario Bros.!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Classic NES Zelda Gold Cartridge<\/strong><\/p>\n

People my age probably remember seeing the gold Zelda cartridge and knowing that game was something special because of it.\u00a0 So here\u2019s an ornament of that cartridge!\u00a0 One thing to note about this ornament is that it\u2019s pretty HEAVY!\u00a0 I\u2019m sure it\u2019s made out of metal like the Pokeball ornament, but it\u2019s even heavier than that!\u00a0 I\u2019m pretty sure it\u2019s even heavier than the real Zelda cartridge!\u00a0 It\u2019ll definitely weigh down whatever branch you hang it on!<\/p>\n

8-bit Donkey Kong<\/strong><\/p>\n

Remember how I said the Pokeball ornament was limited to stores only?\u00a0 Well this was another one.\u00a0 While I wouldn\u2019t have been too upset if I missed out on the metal Pokeball, I would\u2019ve been pretty sad if I didn\u2019t get this one.\u00a0 So I\u2019m glad I did.\u00a0 The box doesn\u2019t do this one justice, it\u2019s pretty neat.\u00a0 Stands on it\u2019s own, too, and very light.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

8-bit Mario Bros.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hallmark also makes miniature ornaments for tiny trees.\u00a0 I used to have a little tree like that for my dorm in college, but I only had cheapy Looney Tunes and Garfield mini ornaments for it.\u00a0 Anyway, these are ornaments of Mario & Luigi from Super Mario Bros.\u00a0 Like 8-bit DK, they stand on their own but they are tee tiny.\u00a0 Smaller than a quarter even.<\/p>\n

BONUS Ornament: Animaniacs<\/strong><\/p>\n

OK this one isn\u2019t video game related (but they did make video games based on it back in the day, even one on GameCube).\u00a0 But Animaniacs is one of my top favorite cartoons, and you don\u2019t see too much merchandise with them so I had to get it.\u00a0 I guess they made this ornament since they\u2019re rebooting the series on Hulu (when this article gets published it should already be out) so I guess I\u2019ll be mooching off my brother\u2019s Hulu account then.\u00a0 It\u2019s a great ornament, I only wish the bottom of the water tower had little legs so it could stand up on it\u2019s own.\u00a0 As it is, it\u2019s rounded and wobbles around like a Weeble.\u00a0 Maybe next year they can do a Pinky and the Brain ornament!<\/p>\n
