(PS4, Switch, Xbox One, PC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/swim_box\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-20739\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/SWIM_BOX-150x84.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"84\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/SWIM_BOX-150x84.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/SWIM_BOX.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>Swimsanity! is an underwater themed multiplayer twin stick shooter.\u00a0 Pick a diver and shoot robotic fish (and each other) in the deepest depths of the ocean.\u00a0 Swimsanity! is available on nearly all current consoles and PC, but reviewed on PS4 here.<\/p>\n<p>To control your diver, swim around in all directions using the L stick, and aim with the R stick.\u00a0 Fire your gun by holding down the R2 shoulder button.\u00a0 You can also teleport for a quick escape, but you have a limited amount of times you can do that.\u00a0 When you destroy enough enemies, you can enter \u201cSwimsanity\u201d mode by pressing on the triangle button.\u00a0 Depending on the class you pick when selecting your diver, this mode will do things like send a bunch of projectiles raining from above, or even healing yourself.\u00a0 Shoot spheres during play to uncover and collect temporary power-ups, like speed boosts, shields, health, and rapid fire.<\/p>\n<p>You can choose between Local and Online Play, view a tutorial in the How to Play Section, and toggle various Options in the main menu.\u00a0 In the Local Play mode, you can choose to play solo, co-op where you work together to complete stages, or Vs. where you compete against each other.\u00a0 In these modes you can tackle five stages of Adventure.\u00a0 If you can master those, you\u2019ll unlock harder versions in AdventureSanity.\u00a0 And in Survival, you try to last as long as you can against waves of enemies.\u00a0 The five stages in Adventure include Deep Blue Sea, where you are chased by a giant whale.\u00a0 In Toxic Lagoon you continuously battle a huge robot sea turtle.\u00a0 Explore maze caverns while avoiding a giant robot worm in Crystal Caverns.\u00a0 Destroy chasing piranhas in Piranha Bay, and battle all manner of enemies in Relic Reef.\u00a0 When you lose all your energy you take a life, and lose all your lives and it\u2019s Game Over.<\/p>\n<p>The main problem I had with this game is that it\u2019s way too hard!\u00a0 Even minor enemies take multiple hits to defeat!\u00a0 Give us a selectable difficulty selection so players of all skill levels can enjoy it at least!\u00a0 Also I\u2019m not a big fan of twin stick shooters that require a separate button to fire.\u00a0 Just pointing the R stick in a direction should make you automatically fire.\u00a0 This is just one of those games that\u2019s only fun in multiplayer mode, so I only recommend it if you have a bunch of friends who are up to the challenge.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/swim_screen\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-20740\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/SWIM_SCREEN.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/SWIM_SCREEN.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/SWIM_SCREEN-300x169.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/SWIM_SCREEN-150x84.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kid Factor:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Swimsanity! is rated E-10 with an ESRB descriptor of Fantasy Violence.\u00a0 You shoot all manner of robot fish and other divers who just explode or disintegrate when defeated.\u00a0 Reading skill is helpful for some of the text, and younger gamers may find it too difficult.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Swimsanity! is an underwater themed multiplayer twin stick shooter.\u00a0 Pick a diver and shoot robotic fish (and each other) in the deepest depths of the ocean.\u00a0 Swimsanity! is available on nearly all current consoles and PC, but reviewed on PS4 here.
