probably the hardest things to get! So let’s take a look at them!

Here’s a bigger picture of the front of the box.

<a the animals have nothing to do with the Sanrio characters they represent. For instance, the Hello Kitty animal is a gorilla, the Kerokerokeroppi animal is a rabbit, etc.

<a Japan many years ago, around the time that Animal Crossing: New Leaf got the ‘Welcome amiibo’ update. You could scan these and other cards into the game to have them visit a new campsite in your town. That’s why they are in camper trailers here. Since then, the mobile game Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has had a couple of Sanrio crossover promotions (they’re doing one right now actually). And if you scan these into New Horizons, that animal will visit your campsite and you can coax them into moving to your town. But best of all, you can buy a whole set of Sanrio themed furniture and clothes at any time with the Nook Shopping app in the game, so it’s kind of like paid DLC you can share.

But yeah, like I said earlier, these cards were a pain in the butt to get! They were only sold at Target, and you could only get them online via store pickup. But since I’ve been blind in my left eye since birth and can’t drive and don’t have a car, I can’t do store pickup. So I decided that the morning of the release, I would just go inside the store and see if I can get them that way. Luckily, the lady I talked to in the store didn’t work in Electronics and probably didn’t know the details of the release, so she just handed me a set. I really hate it when Nintendo creates artificial scarcity like this. I really shouldn’t have bought the cards because of that, but I also don’t like denying myself things that make me happy, so getting the cards won out on the end. Life’s too short for that, so that’s why I usually don’t boycott things.

So these cards will make a nice addition to my Animal Crossing amiibo cards collection. I don’t have ALL the AC amiibo cards because those come in random packs so you don’t know what you’re getting, so collecting them all is nigh impossible. Plus, when those cards first came out, I had lost my job so I had to cut back on some purchases, and Animal Crossing cards was one of those things. Luckily the Sanrio card packs are all the same, so that’s one of the reasons why I got them. Anyway, that’s all for now, later! –Cary

And last on ‘amiibo
