{"id":21311,"date":"2021-06-23T00:01:07","date_gmt":"2021-06-23T00:01:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/?p=21311"},"modified":"2021-05-27T00:20:40","modified_gmt":"2021-05-27T00:20:40","slug":"0-degrees-ps4-switch-xbox-one","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2021\/06\/23\/0-degrees-ps4-switch-xbox-one\/","title":{"rendered":"0 Degrees (PS4, Switch, Xbox One)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/degrees_box\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-21293\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/DEGREES_BOX-112x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"112\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/DEGREES_BOX-112x150.jpg 112w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/DEGREES_BOX-224x300.jpg 224w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/DEGREES_BOX.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 112px) 100vw, 112px\" \/><\/a>You are a climber exploring snowy mountains, and you have the power to create ice blocks.\u00a0 Solve platforming jumping and block pushing puzzles in this 2-D action game available for most current consoles but reviewed on PS4 here.<\/p>\n<p>Each level is a single screen, and there are 40 of them in all.\u00a0 You start at the left and must make it to a portal on the right.\u00a0 Sometimes you must press a floor switch to open a door, or collect a diamond icon to make the portal appear.\u00a0 Avoid spikes and pits along the way.\u00a0 One button lets you fire an ice blob that turns into a block when it hits a wall.\u00a0 Jump on and push these blocks to hold down switches and provide platforms so you can progress.<\/p>\n<p>You can aim these blocks by moving a little crosshair that you control with the R stick.\u00a0 Only problem is the game doesn\u2019t explain that feature very well, so I had a hard time at first aiming blocks.\u00a0 But even with the crosshairs, it\u2019s a bit hard to aim, and since you only have a limited number of shots, it can be a bit frustrating at times to have to start the level over so much.\u00a0 Only other problem I had with the game was the lack of gameplay variety.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/degrees_screen\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-21294\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/DEGREES_SCREEN.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/DEGREES_SCREEN.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/DEGREES_SCREEN-300x169.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/DEGREES_SCREEN-150x84.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kid Factor:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>0 Degrees is rated E for Everyone with an ESRB descriptor of Mild Fantasy Violence.\u00a0 You can hit spikes or fall off ledges, but you just disappear and start back at the beginning, so violence is pretty minimal thanks to the simplistic graphics.\u00a0 Reading skill is helpful for the text, and younger gamers may find the puzzles too difficult.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You are a climber exploring snowy mountains, and you have the power to create ice blocks.\u00a0 Solve platforming jumping and block pushing puzzles in this 2-D action game available for most current consoles but reviewed on PS4 here.
