Michi (PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, PC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/mina_box\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-21425\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/MINA_BOX-150x97.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"97\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/MINA_BOX-150x97.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/MINA_BOX.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>Mina is a young girl who befriends a monster named Michi.\u00a0 Together they\u2019ll explore an 8-bit forest maze of the four seasons, solving puzzles and defeating baddies in top down fashion along the way.\u00a0 Control each character separately, even in single player mode, in this game that\u2019s available for nearly all current game consoles, but reviewed on PS4 here.<\/p>\n<p>If you are playing single player, you\u2019ll move Mina with the left analog stick and Michi with the right.\u00a0 Michi, being a monster, can walk right through enemies without being damaged, but Mina loses hearts when she touches an enemy.\u00a0 If you lose all your hearts, it\u2019s Game Over and you must start in the last area you entered.\u00a0 Mina and Michi must work together to gather keys that open gates and chests, as well as items like an amulet that lets Mina fire projectiles to attack enemies, as well as extra health hearts and more!\u00a0 You\u2019ll mostly solve block and switch pushing puzzles to progress, and sometimes even fight a boss.\u00a0 Most of the enemies you run across are little round slimes.<\/p>\n<p>I like the 8-bit visuals, but playing in single player mode gets a bit tedious after a while, especially since all the mazes and rooms start to look the same.\u00a0 An in-game map would\u2019ve helped, I think.\u00a0 This game is best when played with another person.\u00a0 It kind of reminds me of an old Japan-only arcade game called The Return of Ishtar, but only die-hard Namco fans would know what that is.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/mina_screen\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-21426\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/MINA_SCREEN.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/MINA_SCREEN.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/MINA_SCREEN-300x169.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/MINA_SCREEN-150x84.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kid Factor:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mina &amp;
