\"\"<\/a>Waifu?\u00a0 What\u2019s that?\u00a0 Isn\u2019t that what you hook your Internet up to?\u00a0 Nah, just joking, I know what that word means.\u00a0 It\u2019s like a pretend girlfriend or something, I think.\u00a0 Anyway, fasten your seatbelts, folks, because I think this may be one of the weirdest (and most adult) 2-D shooters I\u2019ve ever played.\u00a0 In a fantasy world, warrior and wizard ladies have put on cursed armor and now they need to get it off.\u00a0 So an old lady summons a spaceship from a shooter game and shrinks it down to shoot away the curses and remove the evil armor.\u00a0 Waifu Discovered 2: Medieval Fantasy is available on Switch and PC, but reviewed on Switch here.<\/p>\n

The main game plays like any other shooter.\u00a0 Hold down the fire button to shoot anything that moves, and avoid all the cute enemies and their projectiles.\u00a0 You have a life meter and if you get hit too many times, it\u2019s Game Over.\u00a0 As you are playing, in the background they show a large still picture of the lady you\u2019re trying to rescue from her cursed armor.<\/p>\n

Defeated enemies will leave behind one of three things.\u00a0 Coins which can be used to buy power-ups in a shop between stages.\u00a0 On very rare occasions, enemies may drop these power-ups as well.\u00a0 But the thing you\u2019ll collect the most are crystals.\u00a0 When you fly over one, it\u2019ll jet down like a missile and hit one of the pieces of armor.\u00a0 When enough of these crystals do that, that piece of armor will disappear and you\u2019ll get a heart and move onto the next wave of enemies.\u00a0 When you are successful in removing all the armor, you\u2019ll fight a boss and finish the stage.<\/p>\n

The game has a beginner mode and a harder arcade mode.\u00a0 There is also a one handed mode you can unlock.\u00a0 My na\u00efve overly positive mind makes me want to think it\u2019s for people with disabilities who can only play with one hand, but I\u2019m afraid it\u2019s probably for something else.\u00a0 Hopefully as a joke.\u00a0 You can also view the various damsels and their outfits in a gallery.\u00a0 While I can appreciate the uniqueness of this game, it\u2019s definitely not appropriate for many folks.<\/p>\n

Kid Factor:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Waifu Discovered 2: Medieval Fantasy is rated M for Mature with ESRB descriptors of Blood, Violence, Sexual Themes, and Nudity.\u00a0 Didn\u2019t really notice too much blood, and you shoot cartoony enemies so there\u2019s the violence.\u00a0 Of course there are sexual themes but I didn\u2019t see the characters get completely undressed.\u00a0 Unless they do in a harder mode or something.\u00a0 While it\u2019s hard for me to go completely ballistic on this game because it\u2019s just cartoon characters and is presented in that campy anime style, this game is still definitely for adults only.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
