You can pick from one of eight female characters, but they all play the same. \u00a0Each characters\u2019 storyline in the cutscenes is a bit different, but that\u2019s about it.\u00a0 You\u2019ll run, jump, double jump, hop up walls like Mega Man X, and shoot enemies.\u00a0 You can pick up all sorts of different guns and power-ups, like rapid fire, spread shots, arcing bombs, etc.\u00a0 If you run out of energy you must start at the last checkpoint, but luckily you get unlimited tries.\u00a0 At the end of the level you\u2019ll fight a boss before moving onto the next stage.<\/p>\n

There are a few problems here and there.\u00a0 Play control feels a bit off, especially when jumping.\u00a0 Your movements in the air feel too quick and without weight.\u00a0 The story sections go on for far too long and feel unnecessary, so I ended up just skipping past them to get to the action.\u00a0 This game is clearly imitating titles like Mega Man X and Metal Slug, but I\u2019d rather just play those other games instead.\u00a0 Queeny Army isn\u2019t the worst run and gun game I\u2019ve ever played, but I\u2019ve certainly played better.<\/p>\n

I have to add this game has some unintentional goofiness about it.\u00a0 The bosses are all people who are three times the size of any other enemy you fight, but they just look like regular giant people with huge heads.\u00a0 And I don\u2019t know if they misspelled words just to imitate bad translations in old games, but every time you beat a stage, the text says \u2018Mision Clear.\u201d\u00a0 At least the trophies are easy to get, with the hardest one being to die 18 times!<\/p>\n

Queeny Army is rated M for Mature with ESRB descriptors of Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Language, Partial Nudity, and Suggestive Themes.\u00a0 None of this is in the moment to moment gameplay, as you just shoot down pixel people who just fall over when defeated.\u00a0 All the other stuff is in the cutscenes only, but they were so boring and unneeded that I skipped through those.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
