This morning the newest member of the Nintendo DS franchise launches – the DSi! Featuring dual camers, larger screens, slimmer styling, and an all-new DSi Store. There are several mini-games released in the DSi Store today, as well as the WarioWare collection. Were it not for the DSi I would call this the ‘week of the PC’! Aside from the multi-platform Godfather II and Chronicles of Riddick, the PC gets an excellent turn-based strategy game Elven Legacy and another expansion to the excellent Company of Heroes franchise. There is plenty to go around this week, so check out the list!

The Godfather II

The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena

Ninja Blade

Flock

Hannah Montana: The Movie

The Godfather II

The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena

Flock

Hannah Montana: The Movie

Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic

Hannah Montana: The Movie

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus

Dragon Ball: Evolution

Hammerin’ Hero

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus

WarioWare: Snapped! The best thing by far was Guitar Hero: Metallica, and many reviews noted that the franchise and the endless stream of cash-in add-ons is getting tiresome, and many fans are getting worn out on the games. As for the rest, the DS had the most releases, but nothing really worth mentioning.

I finished Fallout 3: The Pitt … and while it was certainly better than the abysmal Operation Anchorage, it was only decent and technically a mess. It was augmented in that regard by Games for Windows Live still being the absolutely worst thing of its’ type to ever appear on the PC. There was stuff a decade ago better than that

What I’m Currently Playing:

PC: Elven Legacy – love the implementation of a solid turn-based strategy engine with RPG elements.
