\"\"<\/a>Play tennis!\u00a0 With dinosaurs!\u00a0 In space!\u00a0 Who thought of this game premise, a five year old?\u00a0 Well it doesn\u2019t matter, because this game is actually pretty fun!\u00a0 But it really plays more like Pong or air hockey than tennis.\u00a0 Dino Galaxy Tennis is available on most current game consoles and PC, but reviewed on Switch here.<\/p>\n

In each match, dinosaurs with tennis rackets walk on half of the side of a small planetoid.\u00a0 They\u2019ll lob a meteor back and forth.\u00a0 You can use one button to send the ball straightforward and another button to put a bit of spin on it.\u00a0 When a meter is full, you can press another button to do a special attack which will make the ball go in all sorts of crazy directions to mess up the other player.\u00a0 You can also dash with the L shoulder button and jump with the R shoulder button.\u00a0 If you hit a shot while jumping, the meteor will travel a bit faster.\u00a0 If a planet gets hit with a meteor, that player will lose a notch of energy.\u00a0 If they lose all their energy, they\u2019ll lose the set.\u00a0 Whoever can win 2 out of 3 sets first, wins.\u00a0 If you hit a power-up with the ball, you can activate special perks like double shots or a barrier which slows down the ball on your side.<\/p>\n

There are three main modes of play.\u00a0 In Story Mode, one or two players in co-op can compete in a tennis tournament and win badges on different planets.\u00a0 Each round in story mode will introduce a new feature, like playing against two, using a new power-up, playing a mini-game challenge, and more.\u00a0 Only problem with this mode is it gets a little too hard about halfway through.\u00a0 Up to four players (two on each team) can also go at it in VS Mode.\u00a0 Finally in Challenge Mode, you can play tennis related mini-games like a Breakout style challenge, endless jumping platforming on planets, and more!\u00a0 Despite the goofy premise and difficulty in Story Mode, I actually had a lot of fun with this one.<\/p>\n

Kid Factor:<\/strong><\/p>\n

If a meteor hits a planet, that meteor will explode and your dinosaur will dissolve into pixels until the next serve, but that\u2019s about as violent as it gets.\u00a0 Reading skill is helpful for the text, and younger gamers may need help with the tougher challenges in Story Mode.\u00a0 Dino Galaxy Tennis is rated E for Everyone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
