{"id":22614,"date":"2022-10-12T00:01:04","date_gmt":"2022-10-12T00:01:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/?p=22614"},"modified":"2022-09-09T12:56:54","modified_gmt":"2022-09-09T12:56:54","slug":"lego-brawls-ps4-ps5-switch-xbox-one-x-s-pc-mobile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2022\/10\/12\/lego-brawls-ps4-ps5-switch-xbox-one-x-s-pc-mobile\/","title":{"rendered":"LEGO Brawls (PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, X\/S, PC, Mobile)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/brawls_box\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-22612\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/BRAWLS_BOX-118x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"118\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/BRAWLS_BOX-118x150.jpg 118w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/BRAWLS_BOX-236x300.jpg 236w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/BRAWLS_BOX.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 118px) 100vw, 118px\" \/><\/a>Customize your LEGO Minifigures with hundreds of options and pit them against others in fights with LEGO Brawls.\u00a0 It\u2019s a Smash Bros. style fighting game available for all current consoles, PC, and mobile, but reviewed on PS4 here.<\/p>\n<p>When you start, you\u2019ll get to choose between three LEGO people: a knight, a space heroine, and a masked wrestler.\u00a0 As you play, you\u2019ll get to unlock more parts to make your own fighters.\u00a0 Play control is super simple.\u00a0 One button for jumping, one for attacks, and one to do a special attack when a meter is full.\u00a0 You\u2019ll fight in 2D Smash Bros. style arenas to knock out the other players, and you can also pick up temporary power-ups like ridable horses and vehicles, and projectile weapons.<\/p>\n<p>I only had access to the single player and local modes because I\u2019m too cheap to get a PlayStation Plus account.\u00a0 So I only had access to the mode where you just fight up to eight others until the last one standing wins.\u00a0 But supposedly there are other modes online where you can defend a territory in the arena and more.<\/p>\n<p>After you play, you\u2019ll earn LEGO bricks that you can spend to unlock and customize your fighters.\u00a0 There are hundreds of options to customize your fighters with, like heads, torsos, legs, accessories, weapons, even win poses!\u00a0 This is where the game really shines, but since it originated on mobile devices, progression feels slow and you have to play the game a BUNCH to get anything good.\u00a0 You can even choose whole themes to unlock stuff with, like space and pirate.\u00a0 Some of the things you unlock are related to licenses like Jurassic World, Ninjago, and one I\u2019ve never heard of called LEGO Vidya where kids can use LEGOs to make their own music videos!\u00a0 But even though there\u2019s not much to it gameplay-wise, LEGO Brawls is still a decent time as long as you have plenty of friends to play it with, or an online account.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/brawls_screen\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-22613\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/BRAWLS_SCREEN.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/BRAWLS_SCREEN.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/BRAWLS_SCREEN-300x169.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/BRAWLS_SCREEN-150x84.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kid Factor:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>LEGO Brawls is rated E-10 with an ESRB descriptor of Cartoon Violence.\u00a0 You just hit toy LEGO figures that disappear when defeated, and that\u2019s it.\u00a0 Reading skill is helpful for some of the text, but not necessary just to play.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Customize your LEGO Minifigures with hundreds of options and pit them against others in fights with LEGO Brawls.\u00a0 It\u2019s a Smash Bros. style fighting game available for all current consoles, PC, and mobile, but reviewed on PS4 here.
