{"id":22757,"date":"2022-12-12T00:01:53","date_gmt":"2022-12-12T00:01:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/?p=22757"},"modified":"2022-11-25T13:29:31","modified_gmt":"2022-11-25T13:29:31","slug":"falling-out-ps4-ps5-switch-xbox-one-pc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2022\/12\/12\/falling-out-ps4-ps5-switch-xbox-one-pc\/","title":{"rendered":"Falling Out (PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, PC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/falling_box-2\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-22753 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/FALLING_BOX-150x142.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"142\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/FALLING_BOX-150x142.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/FALLING_BOX.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>Giorgio and Felicia are two newlyweds who still love each other, but the \u2018honeymoon phase\u2019 is starting to be over as Felicia longs for more romantic days.\u00a0 So she enters a vacation contest and wins, so the couple have a second honeymoon in Egypt.\u00a0 While exploring the pyramids, the two get lost from the tour group and accidentally wake a mummy\u2019s spirit.\u00a0 Now they must explore the cursed pyramids and other temples to find four talismans to break the curse. \u00a0Falling Out is a 2-D platforming co-op game with randomly generated dungeons.\u00a0 You can play single player or with a friend locally, and it\u2019s available on most current consoles and PC, but reviewed on PS4 here.<\/p>\n<p>Each level is a few screens long with lots of mazes and corridors.\u00a0 You can play single player and switch between the two characters, or you can play co-op.\u00a0 I mostly played single player, though.\u00a0 You can switch between the two explorers, but you\u2019ll mostly play as Giorgio as he can carry Felicia and has a handy double jump.\u00a0 You can also pick up and throw items (or your wife), stomp on enemies, plus collect coins and items.\u00a0 Your goal is to find the exit before time runs out and the temple floods, but you can still swim to the exit if you have enough air.<\/p>\n<p>In between levels you can visit a shop to buy items that\u2019ll help you out.\u00a0 You can also collect materials in the levels that you can use to craft items as well.\u00a0 You\u2019ll travel to all sorts of temples, from pyramids in Egypt and even Antarctica!\u00a0 I loved the retro pixel graphics, as they reminded me of Spelunker in a way.\u00a0 But I\u2019m not a big fan of games that have randomly generated levels, as I prefer ones with clever level design instead.\u00a0 But the big turnoff for me here is that you have a limited number of lives, and if you run out, you must start completely over again, so that made me lose interest quickly right there.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/falling_screen\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-22754\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/FALLING_SCREEN.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/FALLING_SCREEN.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/FALLING_SCREEN-300x169.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/FALLING_SCREEN-150x84.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kid Factor:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Falling Out is rated E-10 with ESRB descriptors of Crude Humor and Fantasy Violence.
