{"id":22777,"date":"2022-11-30T00:01:27","date_gmt":"2022-11-30T00:01:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/?p=22777"},"modified":"2022-11-25T13:26:45","modified_gmt":"2022-11-25T13:26:45","slug":"super-woden-gp-ps4-ps5-switch-xbox-one-x-s-pc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2022\/11\/30\/super-woden-gp-ps4-ps5-switch-xbox-one-x-s-pc\/","title":{"rendered":"Super Woden GP (PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, X\/S, PC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/woden_box\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-22773\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/WODEN_BOX-150x71.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"71\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/WODEN_BOX-150x71.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/WODEN_BOX.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>Top down viewed racing games have always been a staple in arcades and consoles, with titles like Super Sprint, World Rally, Micro Machines, RC Pro-Am, and many more.\u00a0 And now there\u2019s Super Woden GP for modern consoles and PC, but reviewed on PS4 here.<\/p>\n<p>You begin on a map with many locations, most of them are car companies with racing vehicles you can buy.\u00a0 You start off with just enough money to buy one of the cars, so choose carefully.\u00a0 You can then choose to race in short weekend events on a single track, or do a whole GP season.\u00a0 You can also do free races.\u00a0 There\u2019s also a car wash where you can clean your car for some reason.\u00a0 Winning races earns you money to buy more and better cars so you can participate successfully in the harder races.\u00a0 The action is viewed top down so you drive like how you would an RC car, or games like Micro Machines.<\/p>\n<p>This game has so many problems, though.\u00a0 They just drop you right in with no instructions, and while it\u2019s easy to figure things out, it\u2019s a bit jarring at first.\u00a0 I also couldn\u2019t figure out how to start over in case I wanted to buy a better handling car so I could do better.\u00a0 And the game is super buggy.\u00a0 Like, one time I wanted to change the graphics style to \u2018arcade mode\u2019 but it just had a blank screen.\u00a0 And other time the pause menu selections stayed on the middle of the screen even after I un-paused the game!\u00a0 And many times the camera wouldn\u2019t even follow my car!\u00a0 And the play control was just flat out awful.\u00a0 Not recommending this one at all.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/woden_screen\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-22774\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/WODEN_SCREEN.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/WODEN_SCREEN.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/WODEN_SCREEN-300x169.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/WODEN_SCREEN-150x84.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kid Factor:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Super Woden GP is rated E-10 with an ESRB descriptor of Mild Violence.\u00a0 You can bump and crash cars but that\u2019s about it.\u00a0 Reading skill is helpful for some of the text, and younger gamers may find it too difficult.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Top down viewed racing games have always been a staple in arcades and consoles, with titles like Super Sprint, World Rally, Micro Machines, RC Pro-Am, and many more.\u00a0 And now there\u2019s Super Woden GP for modern consoles and PC, but reviewed on PS4 here.
