\"\"<\/a>Hallmark always has a wide annual selection of new Christmas ornaments and series, and in the past few years they\u2019ve even done video game related ones!\u00a0 This year they had even MORE than ever (my wallet is still crying), and I got most of them, so I thought I\u2019d share them with you here.<\/p>\n

Raccoon Mario<\/strong><\/p>\n

We\u2019ll start with Mario.\u00a0 Here\u2019s Raccoon Mario from Super Mario Bros. 3.\u00a0 This is actually a first in a series of ornaments called Powered Up With Mario.\u00a0 Hallmark does annual series and so I guess this one will have different power-ups every year.\u00a0 I can think of better Nintendo franchises to have series about, and we\u2019ll get to those, but I guess Mario is pretty popular.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Mario Kart Bowser<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s an example of a better idea for a ornament series.\u00a0 They\u2019ve already had Mario, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong in karts as past ornaments.\u00a0 And this year it\u2019s Bowser.\u00a0 I really like these ornaments because the wheels turn and everything.\u00a0 I love how Bowser is so big in the kart that his butt can\u2019t even fit in the seat!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Mini Yoshi<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hallmark also makes miniature ornaments for smaller, tabletop trees.\u00a0 So this year we got a tiny little Yoshi.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Mini Mario Items<\/strong><\/p>\n

To go along with your miniature video game themed Christmas tree, here\u2019s some tiny Mario items.\u00a0 There\u2019s a Yoshi egg, coin, red and green shells, a Super Mushroom, and a 1up Mushroom.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Mini Pikachu<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mario isn\u2019t the only one who got mini ornaments.\u00a0 Here\u2019s a cute Christmas themed Pikachu.\u00a0 Again, these are very tiny.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild<\/strong><\/p>\n

And Mario wasn\u2019t the only Nintendo character to get bigger ornaments as well.\u00a0 Here\u2019s Link from Breath of the Wild.\u00a0 I had to hold him up because he wouldn\u2019t stand on his own.\u00a0 Of course, these are meant to be hung on a tree so I guess Link\u2019s in an action pose.\u00a0 I still like it better when they can stand on their own, though.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Eevee<\/strong><\/p>\n

And here\u2019s a bigger Pok\u00e9mon ornament, this time of Eevee.\u00a0 I guess Eevee\u2019s pretty popular, too.\u00a0 Pok\u00e9mon is a franchise that would make a good ornament series, as there are enough characters to keep going for centuries!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Animal Crossing: K.K. Slider<\/strong><\/p>\n

And now for my favorite of this year\u2019s bunch!\u00a0 It\u2019s K.K. Slider from Animal Crossing!\u00a0 Press a button, and he even sings the title theme from New Horizons!\u00a0 The description in the catalog said it just plays the title theme, so I was worried it would just be instrumental and not have him sing in his \u201cmee maa mow\u201d voice.\u00a0 But he does actually sing it, so I was happy.\u00a0 Animal Crossing is another franchise they could make a series of, as there are enough characters to keep it going for decades as well!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

SEGA Genesis<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nintendo wasn\u2019t the only company to get ornaments.\u00a0 SEGA got some, too!\u00a0 Here\u2019s one of the SEGA Genesis.\u00a0 Like the NES and SNES ornaments that came before it, this one plays sounds.\u00a0 You\u2019ll first hear the classic \u201cSE-GA\u201d blip followed by the Green Hill Zone song with Sonic sound effects.\u00a0 I never had a Genesis as a kid, so this one wasn\u2019t as nostalgic for me as the other console ornaments were.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Sonic the Hedgehog<\/strong><\/p>\n

I think this one is based more on the Sonic movie design, since Sonic the Hedgehog 2 came out in theaters this past year.\u00a0 And I didn\u2019t think that movie was that bad at all.\u00a0 Again, I had to stand this one up because he was in an action pose.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Dr. Eggman<\/strong><\/p>\n

Strangely enough, Sonic\u2019s arch-nemesis got an ornament, too!\u00a0 It\u2019s based on his classic design, so I\u2019m surprised they didn\u2019t call him Dr. Robotnik.\u00a0 I had to hold this one up as well, as his little legs couldn\u2019t stand on their own with that fat body.\u00a0 Another disappointment about this one is it felt like it was more cheaply made, like it was less solid and hollow.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And those are all the video game themed ornaments I got.\u00a0 They had a few others, like a Minecraft one and a Fortnite one, but I didn\u2019t get those.\u00a0 I did get a couple of other ornaments, though, so we\u2019ll take a look at those as well.<\/p>\n

Pinky and the Brain<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cGee Brain, whaddya wanna do tonight?\u201d\u00a0 \u201cThe same thing we do every night, Pinky: try to take over the Christmas tree!\u201d\u00a0 Over the past couple of years, Hallmark made a couple of Animaniacs ornaments.\u00a0 I thought it would be neat if they did a Pinky and the Brain one, and they did!\u00a0 And it\u2019s two ornaments, too!\u00a0 I\u2019m surprised their tails didn\u2019t break off, they\u2019re so thin and flimsy.\u00a0 Pinky stands on his own pretty well, but the Brain doesn\u2019t with his huge head!\u00a0 I wonder if they\u2019ll do other Animaniacs characters in the future, like the Goodfeathers?\u00a0 Probably not.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Terrific Trombone<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every year I buy so many ornaments I usually get a free one.\u00a0 I\u2019ve never kept them in the past, but I think I\u2019ll keep this one since it\u2019s a trombone and that\u2019s what I used to play in high school.\u00a0 Well technically I played Bass Trombone, but nobody cares about that.\u00a0 Not sure why a giant snowflake is sticking out of the bell, but there you go.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And those are all the ornaments I got this year!\u00a0 I\u2019m really glad we finally got an Animal Crossing one, as I\u2019ve been asking for that for years.\u00a0 Hopefully next time we\u2019ll get ornaments based on Kirby, Mega Man, or Pac-Man!\u00a0 Let me know what you think in the comments, and Marry Christmas!<\/p>\n
