{"id":22969,"date":"2023-01-25T00:01:56","date_gmt":"2023-01-25T00:01:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/?p=22969"},"modified":"2022-12-06T13:11:00","modified_gmt":"2022-12-06T13:11:00","slug":"thats-a-cow-switch-mobile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2023\/01\/25\/thats-a-cow-switch-mobile\/","title":{"rendered":"That&#8217;s a Cow (Switch, Mobile)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/cow_box\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-22920\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/COW_BOX-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/COW_BOX-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/COW_BOX.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>That\u2019s a Cow is a silly, continuous runner where you propel your cow forward by having it squirt milk like some kind of dairy jetpack.\u00a0 You can also squirt obstacles and enemies, too, as you collect coins and apples.\u00a0 It\u2019s available on Switch and mobile devices, but reviewed on Switch here.<\/p>\n<p>There are 100 stages in total, and each stage is a short, 2-D obstacle course with 3-D graphics.\u00a0 Your cow constantly moves forward, but you can press a button to have it squirt out milk to propel it.\u00a0 You can then tilt the joystick so you can zip forward, fly up, or pull back to squirt milk toward upcoming obstacles.\u00a0 You\u2019ll have to avoid falling into pits or getting hit by these little boys who like to throw plungers at you.\u00a0 But you can squirt them with milk to render them harmless.\u00a0 You can also squirt milk to move obstacles and break glass balls to reveal items inside.\u00a0 Collect coins and apples along the way and if you get enough, you\u2019ll earn stars.\u00a0 Get enough stars and you can unlock a new cow to play as.\u00a0 You can also unlock a cow every hour, too.\u00a0 If you get hit three times or fall off a platform, you must start the level over.<\/p>\n<p>I like the silly premise and the play control is very solid on the Switch.\u00a0 I also enjoyed the Katamari Damacy styled graphics and funky music.\u00a0 The game does get a bit hard halfway through, and it also gets repetitive at times.\u00a0 But this is still one of the better continuous runner games I\u2019ve played.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/cow_screen\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-22921\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/COW_SCREEN.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/COW_SCREEN.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/COW_SCREEN-300x169.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/COW_SCREEN-150x84.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kid Factor:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nothing really too terribly violent or objectionable here.\u00a0 You can squirt milk at these little boys with plungers, but they just fall over and disappear.\u00a0 When you run out of hearts, your cow just flips upside down.\u00a0 But everything looks like toys anyway.\u00a0 Your cows even come in little blister packages!\u00a0 No reading skill required, and I imagine kids would get a good laugh out of this.\u00a0 That\u2019s a Cow is rated E for Everyone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>That\u2019s a Cow is a silly, continuous runner where you propel your cow forward by having it squirt milk like some kind of dairy jetpack.\u00a0 You can also squirt obstacles and enemies, too, as you collect coins and apples.\u00a0 It\u2019s available on Switch and mobile devices, but reviewed on Switch here.
