\"\"<\/a>McDonald\u2019s had Super Mario Bros. Movie toys in their Happy Meals in January, which is kind of weird since the actual movie doesn\u2019t come out until April. \u00a0At any rate, I got a few of them, so let\u2019s take a look!<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a bigger picture of the Happy Meal box.\u00a0 It\u2019s nice to see they still put these in boxes with the arch handles like they did when I was a kid.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a picture of the sign out by the drive thru that showed all the toys.\u00a0 I wish I could\u2019ve gotten them all, but that\u2019s pretty hard to do.<\/p>\n

And here are the toys I got.\u00a0 I\u2019m glad I at least got Toad in the monster truck and Luigi, since those are my favorite Mario characters.<\/p>\n

Toad just rolls.\u00a0 Luigi just snaps back around when you twist him.\u00a0 He\u2019s holding a flashlight, but it doesn\u2019t light up or anything.\u00a0 I think that would\u2019ve been cooler.\u00a0 Bowser\u2019s looking a little chunky and I\u2019m disappointed they didn\u2019t bother finishing painting his green spiked shell.\u00a0 He\u2019s supposed to shoot the fire breath projectile out of his mouth, but I can\u2019t figure out how to do it.\u00a0 The blue star guy just twirls around when you move a dial on the bottom. The blue star guy has caused a lot of speculation because he looks like a character from Mario Galaxy, but they haven\u2019t announced any Galaxy characters, like Rosalina, in the voice cast yet.<\/p>\n

And those are the Mario Movie Happy Meal toys!\u00a0 Again, I think it\u2019s weird they had these out in January even though the movie doesn\u2019t come until April.\u00a0 I have a feeling it has to do with McDonald\u2019s saying they\u2019re stopping making plastic Happy Meal toys this year.\u00a0 I guess that\u2019s good for the environment, but that also means future Happy Meal toys are gonna suck!<\/p>\n

So am I excited for the Mario movie?\u00a0 Well, I do think there are better Nintendo franchises I\u2019d rather see in a movie.\u00a0 Heck, I think Luigi\u2019s Mansion would make for a better movie than a generic Mario Bros. one.\u00a0 But I\u2019ll definitely see this movie in theaters anyway.\u00a0 I\u2019m not too thrilled with some of the voice cast, like Chris Pratt as Mario.\u00a0 But then, I also don\u2019t think Charles Martinet\u2019s high pitched voice could carry a whole movie either.\u00a0 The Mario voice I was most used to was Capt. Lou Albano.\u00a0 But I won\u2019t complain about it any more because I will say that this new movie looks a HECK of a lot better than the last Mario movie we got.\u00a0 You know, the live action one?\u00a0 I\u2019m used to seeing bad movies and MST3K is my number one favorite show, but I couldn\u2019t sit through five minutes of that live action one.\u00a0 Blech.\u00a0 Kids today don\u2019t know how good they have it now!\u00a0 Anyway, that\u2019s all for now!\u00a0 Later!\u00a0 –Cary<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
