similar to the ones in Zelda games. You’ll have to solve puzzles, use tools and weapons, and defeat enemies to get paid. UnderDungeon also has a unique black and white graphics style that reminds me of games I used to play on our old Apple ][+. It’s available to play on all current consoles and PC, but reviewed on Switch here.

There really isn’t an overworld to explore between dungeons, but you can talk with the various co-workers and gather hints and things before you start a job. When you start a job, you’ll explore a dungeon to make your delivery and move the story along. You view the action top down like a classic Zelda title. You’ll use weapons like a sword as well as secondary weapons like a bubble gun to trap enemies. You’ll do the typical dungeon activities of solving puzzles, collecting keys, and defeating a boss before moving on.

I really liked the idea of this game but holy cow is this game hard. Enemies are aggressive and move much faster than you and can shoot multiple projectiles all at the same time! And the learning curve is steep as you only start with three hearts. When you die, Death will take half your gold, which you really need to buy important stuff. And saving is a bit weird in that one time I stopped in the middle of a dungeon and had all my progress saved, but when I died it took me back to the beginning like I had never been there. Because of all that, I lost interest in this one pretty quickly.

<a
