{"id":23375,"date":"2023-05-29T00:01:35","date_gmt":"2023-05-29T00:01:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/?p=23375"},"modified":"2023-05-21T11:55:27","modified_gmt":"2023-05-21T11:55:27","slug":"dogfight-a-sausage-bomber-story-ps4-ps5-switch-xbox-one-x-s-pc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2023\/05\/29\/dogfight-a-sausage-bomber-story-ps4-ps5-switch-xbox-one-x-s-pc\/","title":{"rendered":"Dogfight: A Sausage Bomber Story (PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, X\/S, PC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/dogfight_box-2\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-23340\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DOGFIGHT_BOX-1-150x59.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"59\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DOGFIGHT_BOX-1-150x59.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DOGFIGHT_BOX-1.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>Sausage Bomber originally started out as a 2-D horizontally scrolling mobile game shooter.\u00a0 And now a sequel of sorts is available for all current consoles and PC, but reviewed on PS4 here.\u00a0 It\u2019s a cartoony shooter with all sorts of hot dog puns and up to four can play at the same time!<\/p>\n<p>Play control is super easy.\u00a0 Move with the left stick and fire shots with one button.\u00a0 Another button lets you fire a secondary weapon, usually a bomb for ground targets.\u00a0 And another button lets you flip around and shoot enemies from behind.\u00a0 You\u2019ll go through nine stages with a boss at the end of each one.\u00a0 You can take multiple hits, and if you do run out of energy, you can press the flip button to try and shake out of a dive, kind of like SkyKid.\u00a0 Shooting certain enemies will let you nab power-ups for your weapon, and shooting groups of enemies can reveal point pickups.\u00a0 At the end of each stage you\u2019ll be ranked for up to five stars.\u00a0 You can even unlock tons of new weapons, but I have no idea how to do that.\u00a0 Up to four can play at the same time, which is kind of rare in a shooter.\u00a0 Only other four player 2-D shooter I know of is Dariusburst.\u00a0 My only problem with this one is so minor it\u2019s hardly worth mentioning.\u00a0 It\u2019s just that the cartoony graphics have that \u2018generic\u2019 Flash animation look to them.\u00a0 I think it would\u2019ve been cooler if they had that pixel art Metal Slug style.\u00a0 But otherwise I really enjoyed this one.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/dogfight_screen\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-23341\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DOGFIGHT_SCREEN.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DOGFIGHT_SCREEN.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DOGFIGHT_SCREEN-300x169.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DOGFIGHT_SCREEN-150x84.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kid Factor:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dogfight: A Sausage Bomber Story is rated E for Everyone with an ESRB descriptor of Mild Fantasy Violence.\u00a0 When you shoot enemy planes, they explode, but the pilots jump out and run along the ground, so it negates a lot of the violence.\u00a0 Reading skill is helpful for the text, but not necessary just to play.\u00a0 Multiple difficulty selections and four player simultaneous play mean that the whole family can enjoy this one.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sausage Bomber originally started out as a 2-D horizontally scrolling mobile game shooter.\u00a0 And now a sequel of sorts is available for all current consoles and PC, but reviewed on PS4 here.\u00a0 It\u2019s a cartoony shooter with all sorts of hot dog puns and up to four can play at the same time!
