{"id":23773,"date":"2023-10-20T00:01:09","date_gmt":"2023-10-20T00:01:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/?p=23773"},"modified":"2023-09-18T14:16:03","modified_gmt":"2023-09-18T14:16:03","slug":"pokemon-sleep-mobile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2023\/10\/20\/pokemon-sleep-mobile\/","title":{"rendered":"Pok\u00e9mon Sleep (Mobile)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/sleep_box\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-23737 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/SLEEP_BOX-150x85.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"85\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/SLEEP_BOX-150x85.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/SLEEP_BOX.jpg 299w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>There are many Pok\u00e9mon games out there, but the strangest ones are usually on mobile devices.\u00a0 We\u2019ve gotten the Pok\u00e9mon teeth brushing app with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2020\/07\/15\/pokemon-smile-mobile\/\"><strong>Pok\u00e9mon Smile<\/strong><\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2017\/06\/28\/pokemon-magikarp-jump-ios-android\/\"><strong>Magikarp Jump!<\/strong><\/a>, a game starring the most useless Pok\u00e9mon of all!\u00a0 And now you can track your sleeping habits with the Pok\u00e9mon Sleep app.\u00a0 I liked how this game featured Snorlax, as that\u2019s my favorite Pok\u00e9mon.\u00a0 But you\u2019ll just how to read on to find out how this app works!<\/p>\n<p>The story goes that you are helping out another Pok\u00e9mon professor.\u00a0 On certain islands, Snorlax has the power to make other Pok\u00e9mon around it sleepy.\u00a0 So you help the professor study the sleeping patterns and styles around the Snorlax.\u00a0 When you start the game, you\u2019ll get your very own Snorlax plus a helper Pikachu.\u00a0 Pikachu and other helper Pok\u00e9mon can gather berries and ingredients during the day, and three times a day you can use those ingredients to make Snorlax a meal.\u00a0 Eating helps Snorlax gain experience and level up, and the higher level you are, the more Pok\u00e9mon will come and sleep around Snorlax at night.<\/p>\n<p>When it\u2019s bedtime, you\u2019ll click on a \u201cZzz\u201d icon and you must then plug up your phone, put it face down around your pillow, and supposedly the app tracks your sleep.\u00a0 Not sure how, but that\u2019s what it says it does.\u00a0 In the morning, you\u2019ll see how long you\u2019ve slept, and what Pok\u00e9mon have come to sleep around Snorlax.\u00a0 You can then take pictures of the sleeping styles and give out Poke-biscuits to befriend the Pok\u00e9mon.\u00a0 And then you start the process over again.\u00a0 As you gain levels you\u2019ll be able to sleep at new islands, like a forest or a beach.\u00a0 But I didn\u2019t notice any difference other than the background graphics.<\/p>\n<p>I had a few problems with this app.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t like how you had to put the phone on your bed for it to track your sleep.\u00a0 I\u2019ll put my phone on my bedside, but not directly on my bed.\u00a0 Also I don\u2019t think it tracks your sleep very well anyway. \u00a0There were many times that it said I got less than 8 hours of sleep when I know I did.\u00a0 And the text is way too small to read, especially considering you\u2019ll have to read a lot of it when you first wake up and may not be focused yet.\u00a0 There\u2019s also a lot of graphs and menu options I didn\u2019t understand.\u00a0 Also if your phone has to update at night, it\u2019ll interrupt your sleep tracking.\u00a0 And it eats up your battery life, too!
