\"\"<\/a>Hallmark always has a wide variety of Christmas ornaments every year, and in the past few years they\u2019ve even had lots of video game themed ones!\u00a0 I got a bunch of them this year as well, as I always do, so let\u2019s take a look at them!<\/p>\n

Cat Mario<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sometimes Hallmark has series of ornaments they do every year, and last year they started with one called Powered Up With Mario.\u00a0 Last year it was Raccoon Mario, and this year it\u2019s Cat Mario from Super Mario 3-D World.\u00a0 Sorry I couldn\u2019t get it to stand up very well.\u00a0 You know how it is with these ornaments sometimes.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Luigi Kart<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every year they also do a Mario Kart ornament, even though it\u2019s technically not part of a series.\u00a0 So far they\u2019ve done Mario, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, and Bowser, and this year it\u2019s Luigi.\u00a0 I wonder when they\u2019ll do Toad?\u00a0 He\u2019s my favorite Mario character.\u00a0 But Luigi is second.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Isabelle<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019m glad they\u2019ve started doing Animal Crossing ornaments, since that\u2019s one of my favorite game series.\u00a0 Last year they did K.K. Slider and he actually sang.\u00a0 This year is Isabelle of course, but she doesn\u2019t do anything.\u00a0 She\u2019s wearing her fall\/winter outfit and there\u2019s no way she can stand on her own with those stubby little legs, so that\u2019s my finger in the picture holding her up.\u00a0 There are so many characters in Animal Crossing that they could do this series for decades if they wanted to!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Snorlax<\/strong><\/p>\n

And speaking of series that could go on for decades, here\u2019s a Pok\u00e9mon one.\u00a0 I\u2019m glad it\u2019s Snorlax this year because that\u2019s my favorite one.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Sonic<\/strong><\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t just Nintendo that got ornaments, though, Sonic\u2019s been getting a few in the past couple of years, and he\u2019s back this year as well. This time he\u2019s curled up in his spin attack pose.\u00a0 If you stand him on his feet, he looks like he\u2019s just crouching.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

SEGA Dreamcast<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the past few years, they\u2019ve also done a game console ornament with sounds and music.\u00a0 They\u2019ve done the NES, SNES, and Genesis, and this year it\u2019s the SEGA Dreamcast!\u00a0 I can\u2019t believe how beloved this console is that they made an ornament out of it, especially since that console bombed and caused SEGA to get out of the console making business!\u00a0 But here we are.\u00a0 When you press the power button, it plays music and sounds from the Emerald Coast stage of Sonic Adventure.\u00a0 The VMU screen on the controller lights up, too.\u00a0 I don\u2019t think the VMU actually had a backlight, did it?\u00a0 At any rate, at least the ornament comes with batteries.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Metroid<\/strong><\/p>\n

The biggest surprise for me this year was they did an ornament of Samus in her Power Suit from Metroid!\u00a0 I think I\u2019ve joked in years past that they\u2019d never do one, even though I think that would be cool.\u00a0 But they did!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Toad<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every year they also do a couple of miniature ornament for smaller, tabletop trees.\u00a0 This year\u2019s Mario ornament was Toad.\u00a0 I\u2019m glad he\u2019s here, since that\u2019s my favorite Mario character.\u00a0 But he\u2019s so small it\u2019s almost criminal!\u00a0 He\u2019s no bigger than my thumbnail!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Eevee<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is also a miniature Eevee ornament from Pok\u00e9mon.\u00a0 He\u2019s small, too, but at least he\u2019s wearing a bow.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And those are all the video game themed Christmas ornaments I got this year.\u00a0 They had a few others from games like Fortnite and Minecraft, but I\u2019m not really interested in those games so I didn\u2019t get them.\u00a0 This was Disney\u2019s 100th<\/sup> anniversary, so they had a ton of Disney ornaments as well, even some obscure ones.\u00a0 It was really tempting to get the ones based on Robin Hood and Oliver and Company, but I didn\u2019t get them. I spend too much money on these ornaments as it is!\u00a0 I hope I can afford to keep doing this again in upcoming years.\u00a0 But there was one last non-video game themed ornament I got, and here it is.<\/p>\n

Animaniacs<\/strong><\/p>\n

For a few years now, they\u2019ve come out with ornaments based on Animaniacs.\u00a0 I\u2019ve gotten each one because its one of my favorite cartoon series and you don\u2019t see much merchandise from them.\u00a0 They\u2019ve done ornaments of them coming out of the tower, inside a Christmas wreath, and even Pinky and the Brain.\u00a0 And this year it\u2019s just them in the logo.\u00a0 I wonder if they\u2019ll do any more after this?\u00a0 I think they\u2019re running out of ideas.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
