\"\"<\/a>For Christmas last year I got a video game themed cookbook. It\u2019s hardcover and pretty nice and has some interesting recipes in it, so I thought I\u2019d go over a few of them here.\u00a0 I won\u2019t go over ALL the recipes in the book, just some notes I jotted down on the ones I found more interesting.<\/p>\n

The first recipe is for Power Pellets from Pac-Man.\u00a0 It\u2019s just an overcomplicated chocolate chip cookie recipe with nuts and stuff.\u00a0 I don\u2019t really think of cookies when I think of power pellets.\u00a0 If it were me, I\u2019d make the first recipe of the book an easy fruit salad featuring the bonus fruit from Pac-Man.\u00a0 Minus the keys, bells, and Galaxian flagships of course.<\/p>\n

Naturally there\u2019s an Italian style mushroom recipe from Super Mario Bros.<\/p>\n

The Legend of Zelda gets a red potion.\u00a0 Castlevania has Wall Meat.<\/p>\n

Kirby gets Superspicy Curry.\u00a0 You could probably make a whole cookbook out of Kirby food.\u00a0 Hey that\u2019s a good idea.\u00a0 Someone should get on that.<\/p>\n

Oh man, they have Yoshi\u2019s Cookies!\u00a0 I\u2019ve always wanted to make those, but they look really hard to make.\u00a0 I guess I really just want to eat them.\u00a0 I love the Yoshi\u2019s Cookie game.\u00a0 I wish Nintendo would give it some love and remake it like the millions of times they\u2019ve done with Dr. Mario.<\/p>\n

I love how Streets of Rage gets Trash Can Chicken.\u00a0 I wonder if you have to eat it off the floor?<\/p>\n

Earthworm Jim 2 has a recipe based on \u201cLevel Ate.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chrono Trigger gets Jurassic Pork Soup, although in the Japanese version it\u2019s not soup they\u2019re drinking, but alcohol!<\/p>\n

I love how there\u2019s a \u201cJill Sandwich\u201d recipe from Resident Evil.\u00a0 Unfortunately it\u2019s a dessert lady finger style recipe, which doesn\u2019t sound appetizing to me.\u00a0 I love how in Dead Rising, one of the restaurants in the food court is named \u201cJill\u2019s Sandwiches.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley have quite a few recipes in here, which makes sense since you cook in both of those games.<\/p>\n

Link\u2019s grandma\u2019s Elixir Soup from The Wind Waker is a recipe.\u00a0 I wish the pumpkin soup from Twilight Princess was there, too. Oh wait, it is!\u00a0 Cool!<\/p>\n

Pok\u00e9mon gets Poke-Blocks, but the recipe sounds like it has too much butter for me.\u00a0 Later on in the book there\u2019s a curry recipe from Sword and Shield.<\/p>\n

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door gets Koopasta.\u00a0 I can\u2019t wait to play the remake on Switch!<\/p>\n

Kingdom Hearts 2 gets Sea Salt Ice Cream.\u00a0 You know they had that in the game to promote the new at the time Tokyo Disney park Disney Sea?\u00a0 They served that there, too.<\/p>\n

Cooking Mama gets a recipe.\u00a0 Seems kind of redundant.<\/p>\n

The Cake from Portal is here!\u00a0 Just like Yoshi\u2019s Cookies, it looks hard to make but I sure would like to eat it!\u00a0 No lie!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Odin Sphere was one of the only games that made item management fun.\u00a0 You had to collect ingredients and cook and eat them at the end of stages to level up.\u00a0 So it\u2019s neat to see one here.<\/p>\n

Of course there\u2019s a Chili Dog recipe for Sonic.\u00a0 You know Sonic has his own cookbook now.\u00a0 I bet they\u2019re in there, too.<\/p>\n

Only one recipe from a Tales game?\u00a0 Seems surprising since cooking is a feature in all of them.<\/p>\n

Minecraft gets Suspicious Stew. \u00a0I heard there was a Pringles flavor with that, but I never saw it in stores.<\/p>\n

And speaking of stew, there\u2019s also Stupendous Stew from Super Mario Odyssey.\u00a0 I hope it doesn\u2019t call for whatever that boss bird barfs in it!<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a burger from Fortnite here.\u00a0 You\u2019d think the burger recipe would be from BurgerTime!<\/p>\n

Animal Crossing gets Mixed Fruit Sandwiches.\u00a0 I got my mom an Animal Crossing cookbook as a present a while back.\u00a0 We made Takoyaki from it.\u00a0 But in this cookbook, Takoyaki is for one of the Yakuza games.<\/p>\n

The last recipe in here is from Eldin Ring, so pretty recent, really.<\/p>\n
