\"\"<\/a>Back in April, Sonic the Hedgehog teamed up with IHOP for a promotion.\u00a0 There were menu items and other online goodies.\u00a0 Unfortunately, the promotion only lasted for about a month.\u00a0 Just as fast as Sonic, this just came and went!\u00a0 Sorry I didn\u2019t get this news out sooner, but I\u2019m only one person and I can only do so much.\u00a0 Plus having such a short promotion was hard to keep up with.\u00a0 But I figured I might as well go over what they had.<\/p>\n

First were the menu items.\u00a0 They just put some of the regular menu food and slapped Sonic on them, really.\u00a0 It was a bit disappointing, since IHOP tie-in promotions in the past that I saw had special original menu items.\u00a0 For instance, when the computer animated Grinch movie came out, I remember they had a \u2018roast beast omelet.\u2019\u00a0 The Addams Family movie had pancakes decorated to look like spiderwebs, and the Wonka movie even had purple pancakes if I remember correctly.\u00a0 And just after this Sonic promotion, IHOP immediately started special menu items based on the new computer animated movie IF.\u00a0 But here\u2019s what was on the Sonic menu.\u00a0 I\u2019ll go over each one.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Sonic\u2019s Blue Blur Special<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just blueberry pancakes.\u00a0 Makes sense since Sonic is blue.\u00a0 The menu said it had extra blueberries, but I bet it was the same amount as the regular blueberry pancakes on the menu.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t order these.\u00a0 Just not a big fan of eating nothing but pancakes for a meal.\u00a0 Plus the stuff you put on pancakes like syrup is just too sweet for me.\u00a0 And eating out all the time gets expensive.<\/p>\n

Tails\u2019 2x2x2<\/strong><\/p>\n

I guess they couldn\u2019t think of anything better for Tails.\u00a0 He has two tails so he just gets the breakfast with two of everything.\u00a0 Tails is my favorite Sonic character, though, so I did order this one.\u00a0 It\u2019s all right.\u00a0 Just your basic breakfast.<\/p>\n

Knuckles\u2019 Chicken Sandwich<\/strong><\/p>\n

I guess they couldn\u2019t think of anything better other than the pun \u2018knuckle sandwich.\u2019\u00a0 It\u2019s a pretty big chicken sandwich, though, with avocados and such.\u00a0 I ordered this one another time I went to IHOP during this promotion.\u00a0 The menu said to order them with a side of golden onion rings to make them \u201cSonic Style.\u201d\u00a0 I didn\u2019t do that.<\/p>\n

Dr. Eggman\u2019s Benedict<\/strong><\/p>\n

They probably could\u2019ve associated Eggman with any egg dish, but maybe the \u2018Benedict Arnold\u2019 name made them think of this one.\u00a0 I ordered this one as well, as I do like eggs benedict.\u00a0 It was all right, but I\u2019ve had better at other restaurants.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Amy\u2019s Sweet Strawberry Delight<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was more of a dessert.\u00a0 Waffles with strawberries and ice cream I think.\u00a0 As I said earlier, I don\u2019t have much of a sweet tooth so I didn\u2019t get this one.<\/p>\n

Shadow\u2019s Chaos Chocolate Pancakes<\/strong><\/p>\n

And finally, Shadow got the chocolate chip pancakes.\u00a0 I wouldn\u2019t mind having a couple of bites of this, but not a whole plate of them!\u00a0 I don\u2019t know what\u2019s so chaotic about chocolate pancakes, but maybe if you fed these to kids, the sugar rush they\u2019d get would be pretty chaotic.\u00a0 They\u2019d probably move as fast as Sonic, too!<\/p>\n

And those are all the menu items.\u00a0 Again, it was disappointing that they didn\u2019t make any special one of kind dishes during this promotion, but if it made things more fun for kids visiting IHOP, I guess I\u2019m OK with that.<\/p>\n

IHOP also had a special part of their web site where you could get some things as well.\u00a0 They had a couple of Sonic themed gift cards you could order.\u00a0 I actually did get these (and got to keep the cards after using them) so here\u2019s a picture of them:<\/p>\n

And finally, in the new four player 2D game Sonic Superstars, you could download a special IHOP outfit for Amy that had her wearing a dress and apron.<\/p>\n
