\"\"<\/a>A granddaughter is visiting her grandmother, and while unpacking, she sees some of her grandmother\u2019s trinkets and asks about them.\u00a0 Turns out in her younger days, her grandmother \u00a0travelled around the world and had lots of adventures and experiences!\u00a0 Re-create her stories and put them in a scrapbook by playing little puzzle mini-games in Tell Me Your Story.\u00a0 It\u2019s available on Switch and PC, but reviewed on Switch here.<\/p>\n

Simply move the cursor around and click on things with the button to play.\u00a0 You\u2019ll do each mini-game puzzle in succession.\u00a0 Sometimes you might have to just click on the right things in order, and other times you might have to solve a puzzle.\u00a0 Some of them remind me of the challenges you might find in a Professor Layton game.\u00a0 If you get stuck, you can use a hint.\u00a0 You have three hints to start, but if you use them all, you\u2019ll have to play another mini-game to get three more.<\/p>\n

The game uses no words, not even in the hints.\u00a0 And that\u2019s where I had problems.\u00a0 The puzzles can be really vague and so are the hints.\u00a0 I got stuck on one puzzle where you had to arrange the pictures on a tea cabinet correctly, but there was no way to know how to do it unless you used a hint.\u00a0 But since it was just a picture, after I copied it, the puzzle still wouldn\u2019t solve.\u00a0 I looked at a video guide online and it showed them pulling the tassle on the cabinet and then sliding the door, but I couldn\u2019t recreate that so I just gave up.\u00a0 It\u2019s a shame because I really like the sentiments and message of this game about spending time with your grandparents and listening to their stories.\u00a0 But the game is just not executed very well.<\/p>\n

Nothing violent or objectionable here.\u00a0 Reading skill is helpful for the menu texts, but not necessary just to play.\u00a0 Kid gamers may get frustrated and confused by the vague games and hints, though.\u00a0 Tell Me Your Story is rated E for Everyone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
