{"id":24783,"date":"2024-08-14T00:01:20","date_gmt":"2024-08-14T00:01:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/?p=24783"},"modified":"2024-07-22T12:09:41","modified_gmt":"2024-07-22T12:09:41","slug":"fit-my-dog-switch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2024\/08\/14\/fit-my-dog-switch\/","title":{"rendered":"Fit My Dog (Switch)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/dog_box-2\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-24781\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/DOG_BOX-146x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"146\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/DOG_BOX-146x150.jpg 146w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/DOG_BOX.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 146px) 100vw, 146px\" \/><\/a>First there were <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2024\/03\/11\/fit-my-cat-switch\/\"><strong>cats<\/strong><\/a>, then <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2024\/07\/08\/fit-my-zoo-switch\/\"><strong>zoo animals<\/strong><\/a>, and now dogs.\u00a0 In Fit My Dog, you must arrange canines of varying shapes onto a bed so they can take a nap together.\u00a0 It reminds me of those tanogram puzzles and is available on Nintendo Switch.<\/p>\n<p>In each level are dogs with a pet bed in the middle, and each one is arranged so it\u2019ll fit in a certain number of squares on the mat.\u00a0 Highlight a dog with the L stick and move it with the A button and rotate it with the R button.\u00a0 When all the pups are on the float, you can go onto the next level.\u00a0 There are nearly 100 levels in all.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a neat concept and relaxing puzzler, but I had a few problems with it that kept me from staying interested.\u00a0 It gets pretty hard after level 30 or so, and a hint option or level skip feature would\u2019ve been nice.\u00a0 Also it\u2019s a bit difficult to tell which pup is highlighted.\u00a0 A mouse cursor or pointer might\u2019ve solved that problem.\u00a0 And it can be hard to get them to fit exactly where they\u2019re supposed to go.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/dog_screen-2\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-24782\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/DOG_SCREEN.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/DOG_SCREEN.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/DOG_SCREEN-300x169.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/DOG_SCREEN-150x84.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kid Factor:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nothing violent or objectionable here.\u00a0 Reading skill isn\u2019t needed and the game may be considered somewhat educational as it enforces spatial relations.\u00a0 But younger gamers may find it difficult after a while.\u00a0 Fit My Dog is rated E for Everyone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>First there were cats, then zoo animals, and now dogs.\u00a0 In Fit My Dog, you must arrange canines of varying shapes onto a bed so they can take a nap together.\u00a0 It reminds me of those tanogram puzzles and is available on Nintendo Switch.
