{"id":24872,"date":"2024-09-16T00:01:59","date_gmt":"2024-09-16T00:01:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/?p=24872"},"modified":"2024-08-08T11:25:32","modified_gmt":"2024-08-08T11:25:32","slug":"sokomage-switch-ps4-ps5-xbox-one-x-s-pc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2024\/09\/16\/sokomage-switch-ps4-ps5-xbox-one-x-s-pc\/","title":{"rendered":"SokoMage (Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, X\/S, PC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/sokomage_box\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-24870\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/SOKOMAGE_BOX.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"149\" height=\"147\" \/><\/a>Help a wizard reach a magical crystal in a forest in the puzzle game SokoMage.\u00a0 It\u2019s a block pushing puzzler available on all current consoles and PC, but reviewed on Switch here.<\/p>\n<p>Your goal in each level is to make it to a floating magical crystal, and there are 30 levels in all.\u00a0 Most of the levels have bushes, ice blocks, and holes blocking your way.\u00a0 You can move in four directions and when you are next to a bush, you can push a button to zap it away.\u00a0 If you are next to an ice block, you\u2019ll kick it and it\u2019ll slide until it hits a bush or wall, or falls into a hole.\u00a0 You can then pass over the hole.\u00a0 You must figure out how to get the ice blocks to where they need to go and make sure you only destroy the necessary bushes to create a path.<\/p>\n<p>You can undo moves and start the levels over if you mess up, so that\u2019s nice.\u00a0 My only problem is I wish it didn\u2019t get so hard so quickly.\u00a0 A hint option or level skip feature would\u2019ve been nice if you get stuck.\u00a0 But otherwise, this is a pretty decent little \u201cSokoban\u201d style puzzler if you like that sort of thing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/sokomage_screen\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-24871 alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/SOKOMAGE_SCREEN.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/SOKOMAGE_SCREEN.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/SOKOMAGE_SCREEN-300x169.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/SOKOMAGE_SCREEN-150x84.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kid Factor:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nothing violent or objectionable here.\u00a0 Reading skill is helpful for some of the text, but not necessary just to play.\u00a0 The game may be considered educational because it reinforces logic and thinking skills, but younger gamers may find the puzzles too difficult.\u00a0 SokoMage is rated E for Everyone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Help a wizard reach a magical crystal in a forest in the puzzle game SokoMage.\u00a0 It\u2019s a block pushing puzzler available on all current consoles and PC, but reviewed on Switch here.
