obstacles like sawblades, and collect stars and trophies as you make your way to the exit. Kiki is available on all current consoles and PC, but reviewed on PS4 here.

Play control is simple. Just move around with the left control stick and the camera with the right control stick. Jump with the X button. Sometimes you must pick up a key by aiming your viewing reticule at it and then pressing the R2 button to pick it up, and then drop it on a keyhole tile to open a gate. They don’t tell how you to do this in the game at all, but luckily it’s pretty easy to figure out.

My main problem with this game is the viewpoint. Since it’s first person, it’s hard to tell if you get hit from the side of something as you pass it. And the jumping controls don’t feel as responsive as they should be. There are no checkpoints which can be frustrating to have to go back all the way if you die on a complicated level. At least the music is decent, but I can think of tons more 3D platformers I’d rather play than this.

<img Factor:

Kiki: A Vibrant 3D Platformer is rated E-10 with an ESRB descriptor of Fantasy Violence. You can fall into pits or get hit by sawblades, but the game just zips you back to the start when that happens and you don’t see anything so I don’t consider that violent. Reading skill isn’t needed, but younger gamers may find it too
