has a little twist to it. You’ll just have to read on to find out what it is! Tales of Autumn is available on Switch and PC but reviewed on Switch here.

Tales of Autumn starts out like your typical farming game. You arrive to a new town and take over the local ranch. Grow crops, raise animals, talk to townsfolk, put goods in a box to ship to make money, craft items, and much more. Each day lasts about ten minutes in real time so you must plan your time accordingly. The graphics are 16-bit retro styled so fans of the early Harvest Moon games on SNES and GBA may like that.

So what makes Tales of Autumn stand out from other farming sim games? Well it’s in the animals that you raise. Some of the critters you can befriend and take care of are actually mythical creatures like manticores and chimeras! Heck, the first animal you befriend is a jackelope, which is a rabbit with antlers.

I did have a few problems that kept me from being interested. The game is very slow paced and they don’t explain some things to you very well. Like terraforming, they just kind of gloss over that and it seemed pretty important to the gameplay. But if you enjoy farming sims and like cryptid animals, you might want to check this one out anyway.

<a
