{"id":25674,"date":"2025-05-14T00:01:50","date_gmt":"2025-05-14T00:01:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/?p=25674"},"modified":"2025-04-24T03:46:24","modified_gmt":"2025-04-24T03:46:24","slug":"hegzis-ps4-ps5-switch-xbox-one-x-s-pc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2025\/05\/14\/hegzis-ps4-ps5-switch-xbox-one-x-s-pc\/","title":{"rendered":"Hegzis (PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, X\/S, PC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/hegzis_box\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-25672\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/HEGZIS_BOX-150x139.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"139\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/HEGZIS_BOX-150x139.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/HEGZIS_BOX.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>Hegzis is a puzzle game played on a hexagonal grid, with connected hex pieces for you to place and rotate on the field.\u00a0 When a full line of hexagon pieces go from one side to another, they\u2019ll disappear.\u00a0 Do this enough times to clear the level.\u00a0 It\u2019s available on all current consoles and PC, but reviewed on PS4 here.<\/p>\n<p>In each level, you must clear out lines until the meter is full, and then you can move onto the next.\u00a0 Move the pieces with the L stick and switch out to the other piece you can play with the R stick.\u00a0 Rotate the pieces with the triangle button and place them with the X button.\u00a0 If you make a full line of pieces from one end to another, that row will disappear, giving you room to place new pieces.\u00a0 It\u2019ll also fill a meter on the side of the screen.\u00a0 When it\u2019s full you can move onto the next level.\u00a0 By pressing the R1 button, you can use a limited power-up to help you clear out hex blocks.\u00a0 If you can\u2019t place any more blocks, you\u2019ll have to start the level over again.<\/p>\n<p>My only problems with the game are that I would\u2019ve mapped out the buttons differently.\u00a0 Like rotating the pieces with the shoulder buttons.\u00a0 They also don\u2019t explain the game very well to you unless you do the tutorial.\u00a0 And they don\u2019t warn you or give you a chance to use a power-up when you run out of moves.\u00a0 But otherwise this is a decent simple little puzzler.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/hegzis_screen\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-25673\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/HEGZIS_SCREEN.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/HEGZIS_SCREEN.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/HEGZIS_SCREEN-300x169.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/HEGZIS_SCREEN-150x84.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kid Factor:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hegzis is rated E for Everyone with an ESRB descriptor of Mild Fantasy Violence.\u00a0 Really?\u00a0 Where?
