{"id":26655,"date":"2026-04-06T00:01:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-06T00:01:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/?p=26655"},"modified":"2026-03-23T13:44:40","modified_gmt":"2026-03-23T13:44:40","slug":"living-dead-house-switch-pc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/2026\/04\/06\/living-dead-house-switch-pc\/","title":{"rendered":"Living Dead House (Switch, PC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/dead_box-7\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-26651\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/DEAD_BOX-150x46.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"46\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/DEAD_BOX-150x46.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/DEAD_BOX-300x92.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/DEAD_BOX.jpg 448w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>Try to survive waves of zombies in a haunted house in this single screen classic arcade styled game.\u00a0 Living Dead House is available on Switch and PC, but reviewed on Switch here.<\/p>\n<p>There are two main modes of play in Living Dead House.\u00a0 Arcade has you complete stages by surviving for a limited amount of time before the sun comes up and you move to the next stage.\u00a0 Survival Mode has you trying to last as long as you can endlessly.\u00a0 You are in a single screen house and can move left and right and up and down ladders and stairs.\u00a0 You must try and avoid the zombies because if they touch you, you\u2019ll lose a life.\u00a0 Lose them all and it\u2019s Game Over.<\/p>\n<p>There are pickups you can nab to give you an edge.\u00a0 Some are single use weapons like an axe or shotgun.\u00a0 Others let you interact with the environment like a switch to electrocute the zombies or a hammer and nails to board up places where they can pop in.\u00a0 You can play one or two player local co-op and post your scores to leaderboards.<\/p>\n<p>My only real problem with the game is that they don\u2019t really give you any instructions.\u00a0 I had to figure out what the items do and I don\u2019t know if there are any gameplay elements I may have missed.\u00a0 While this game was a bit too hard, I did like how it felt like a classic arcade game that really could\u2019ve came out in the mid 80s.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/dead_screen-5\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26652\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/DEAD_SCREEN.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/DEAD_SCREEN.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/DEAD_SCREEN-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.gamerdad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/DEAD_SCREEN-150x113.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kid Factor:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Living Dead House is rated T for Teen with ESRB descriptors of Blood and Violence.\u00a0 You do shoot at zombies and hit them with other weapons, too.\u00a0 Pieces of them will fly around and if you get hit, you\u2019ll just fall over.\u00a0 I really didn\u2019t notice any blood.\u00a0 But the pixelated graphics negated a lot of the violence, so I\u2019d probably be OK with older kids playing this.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Try to survive waves of zombies in a haunted house in this single screen classic arcade styled game.\u00a0 Living Dead House is available on Switch and PC, but reviewed on Switch here.
