Gotten a few emails lately asking after my health. I’m okay. No new heart attacks and the blood pressure, cholesterol, and all those other details are fine. I’m on the meds and at around 100%.\u00a0 Or I would be if I didn’t have this one tiny little health related distraction…<\/p>\n

In November one of the wires in my chest holding my rib cage shut popped and stuck upward. The result was a small bump on my chest that hurt a bit all the time and hurt really bad if pressed or bumped – or rubbed with a shirt, or blown on, or laughed at.\u00a0 Anyway, the day after Thanksgiving I had it removed. No big deal.\u00a0 Seems it left a pocket and a recent bout with asthma (season related) led to fluid, which led to a “plural effusion”, which is a fancy way of saying “Ya’got liquid in the chest there boss!” Said liquid is pushing on my lungs causing irritation and inflammation and that’s why, for about a full week now, I’ve felt and coughed like I’ve got pneumonia.<\/p>\n
Add to that a bunch of writing contracts and assignments I’m working on and that means – less time for websites and blogs.\u00a0 That’s going to change soon.\u00a0 Next Friday a new column from me will be appearing at a major new start-up and then two more will follow.\u00a0 I can’t wait to announce them and see how they’ll enhance this site.<\/p>\n
I’ve got medication so my breathing is better. Should be cleared up next week.\u00a0 Can’t wait to feel healthy again.\u00a0 Dammit, I deserve it, right?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
