\"\"<\/a>In a mystical land based on Asian folklore, cats, rabbits, frogs, and pandas all live together in harmony. They all follow an ancient tradition called The Way which teaches respect and settling differences non-violently. But one day, a group of strong gorillas and cunning rats use their might to take over the land. Now it\u2019s up to young Kay the cat to save his people and their homes.<\/p>\n

Legend of Kay is a 3-D platform jumping adventure for the Nintendo DS. Play as Kay and explore valleys, mountains, swamps, and other areas. Jump over obstacles and solve basic switch-based puzzles. Even though Kay learns martial arts from his elderly master, the teachings of The Way prevent him from harming the gorillas and rats, even though they\u2019re the bad guys. While it\u2019s fine for Kay to squish spiders by stomping on them, he must find ways to sneak around gorilla guards.<\/p>\n

The 3-D graphics look nice on the DS, and the story is told with cartoon comic book scenes, although they can be a bit long winded at times. Arrows point you to your next goal in the adventure. Only problem is jumping controls can be a little off, and you can\u2019t always save where you want to. But at less than 20 bucks, it may turn out to be a decent adventure for young gamers.<\/p>\n

Legend of Kay is rated E for Everyone with ESRB descriptors of Comic Mischief, Mild Language, and Use of Alcohol. Kay stomps on spiders, but must find non-violent ways to get past bigger foes. The language must be very mild, as I only read the world \u2018crap\u2019 in the text. Kay\u2019s master is seen drinking too much at the start of the game. Reading skill is a must as everything is text-based. Young gamers may get frustrated at some of the tougher jumps and puzzles. But fans of cartoons like Kung Fu Panda and Avatar: The Last Airbender may enjoy this little adventure, too.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
