\"\"<\/a>OK, there are all those online tournaments that promote huge fan bases watching people play for thousands of dollars. \u00a0I’m never going to be one of those people. \u00a0However, I do get my moment in the sun…<\/p>\n

Yes, my favorite hobby, boardgaming, has reached that next level – whatever that is. \u00a0Thursday evening (Tomorrow – June 28th)\u00a0at 7:30pm EST, Northstar Games will be hosting a live video feed promoting their new edition of Wits & Wagers. \u00a0 They’ve recruited big names from all over the boardgame blogosphere, and myself for some reason, for a live competition of the new Wits & Wagers Party. \u00a0Read on for details and the link…<\/p>\n

You may have heard of Wits & Wagers, it is my favorite trivia boardgame. \u00a0You guess an answer, but then earn most of your points by betting on which player’s answer is closest to the right one. \u00a0Knowing a lot of trivia is useful, but won’t guarantee a win. \u00a0For example, how many licks DOES it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? \u00a0Make a random guess, but be sure you bet on whichever opponent has the right answer…<\/p>\n

If you want to watch, tune in to\u00a0http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/rpmetzler?feature=watch<\/a> by 7:30pm EST. \u00a0 Many big names from the boardgaming world will be playing against each other, but since you probably don’t know any of them and none of us are getting paid to play, it probably doesn’t really matter.<\/p>\n

I’ll be representing GamingWithChildren.com as well as my other “boardgaming-centric” web site – OpinionatedGamers.com<\/a>. \u00a0Come on by and cheer me on! \u00a0If that isn’t enough to draw you in, I’ve been given a prerelease copy to pass out to “my biggest fan” (no, not volume-based) who shows up at comments on the forums. \u00a0“Biggest Fan” to be completely arbitrarily picked by me with absolutely no hint of impartiality. \u00a0So most everyone has a chance at it unless Cary starts to threaten to flush another Pokemon down the potty if I don’t send it his way to complete his party game collection.<\/p>\n

Come on by and support the GamingWithChildren spirit! \u00a0You know we would do it for you. \u00a0(Well, we would if we didn’t have to weed the garden first, and maybe take the dog for a walk… but then we TOTALLY would be there for you, maybe.)<\/p>\n
