How does she find time to date Ken with all the deep sea diving, fashion responsibilities, and now, Pet Rescuing she has to do? Little girls can find out with Barbie: Pet Rescue for the GameBoy Color (also works with the GameBoy Advance). The plot is simple enough. Barbie, and her little friend Stacie, must adventure through Green Arbor Park searching for and rescuing various cute and mostly furry animals along the way. If you rescue all 14 of them, thereメs a special prize waiting at the end. But the game gets harder and harder the more animals you rescue. This game isnメt just about helping Barbie and Stacie do their jobs, however. These animals need to be fed and played with too! Some of them need to be nursed back to health. And little gamers will likely delight in doing all that because her charges include bunnies, kittens, puppies, and more cutie-patootie critters than you can shake a stick at. Which is something the puppies like. While the graphics are typically sparse--notably simpler than the old CD-ROM version--the game should help your kids while away hours in the backseat on trips. One part Pokemon and a couple other parts search and adventure, coupled with the wholesome pinkness of Barbie herself, and youメve got a perfect, if overly-simple, game for ages 5 and slightly up.
