Eye Toy comes of age with something tricked out, cool, and extreme. No gravity required, you are the controller, yada - yada - yada!

Eye Toy: Play was the GamerDad Game of the Year last year, and when I'm interviewed by newspapers and radio about game recommendations, I usually spotlight Eye Toy as the most positive trend in gaming. Why? Because it gets kids, and their parents, to get off the couch and be in the game. There was a lot of concern that Eye Toy wasn't going to live up to its tremendous potential. Play, while cool, consists mainly of minigames and a playroom. Groove is a dancing game, but not a very challenging one for hardcore gamers. What about older kids? What can Eye Toy do to be cool?
The answer is Antigravity. What could be cooler than using the Eye Toy camera to become, not control, some futuristic hoverboard racer guy? That's the gist of it. It's a standard racing game, a little light on the options and tracks, but the key is that the Eye Toy looks onto your head area. You control the action by standing in front of the camera and leaning to turn, reaching out to grab passing powerups, or putting up both arms to stop. Nice and simple and it works exactly like you'd imagine it would. The result is a more immersive experience and the ultimate "I gotta play that!" ice breaker for parties and family gatherings.

While fairly simple and not very challenging to experienced players, the game is well worthwhile for the tremendous rush of playing it, watching someone - especially a child - play it and the novelty value of owning what GamerDad, more than ever, still considers the most positive trend in video gaming.
Perfect for mid-to-older kids (see below) in that it develops coordination and balance. If you stumble, over-reach, you'll fall out of camera and your racer will tumble. The precision required is an excellent training tool for kids, but the younger ones might not get it for a while.
