Because nobody gets hurt when you throw your stylus after a missed 2" putt.

Nowadays they use your mouse, gamepad, or gimmicky controllers to better simulate the difficulty and grace of the perfect tee shot or the nuance of a careful putt. Nintendo does one better by letting players use the stylus and touch screen to knock the dimpled ball around the fairway - and it works surprisingly well. True Swing Golf doesn't really simulate golf in a way that's true, and nothing swings, but the nuance is there and that makes it a great game for duffers, newcomers, and experts alike.

Click to learn more about GamerDad's Kid Factor review section. If dad or mom (or mom and dad) play golf, it's a good idea to get the kids into it. True Swing lets kids as young as six learn some of the most important things about golf, and that's how to play a course. Using the stylus to swing is easy - too easy really - but this lowers the frustration level a bit and backs it like a relaxing day at the fairway if it's raining or worse out there. Plenty of courses, decent graphics (EA's Tiger Woods game looks better but plays a bit worse), and that staid calm relaxing atmosphere golf is known for are all present (you can keep Hot Shots silliness, thanks) make this an ideal game for dads and moms who like the links - and kids getting started.
